I am waiting for his book, to give it a good read through. I have read every comment on this forum (all 43 pages) and have looked at the YouTube videos. This man is apparently the “man of the moment” in some Christian circles. As there is so much doubt being expressed here and elsewhere as to the truthfulness of his story I would expect him to mount a strong defense of himself. This would be easy for him to do, if his story is true. For example he could easily counter some of the doubts about his bloodline and his upbringing by publicly demonstrating his fluency in Cantonese, both written and spoken. He could also roll up his sleeves to show the burn marks on his elbows, from carrying the cauldron of burning metal. These would be simple tests. If, for example, it transpires that he does not speak Cantonese, then the matter is settled. If he can speak it, then at least it silences some of his doubters. He also refers to numerous trophies and certificates which he has, which I would expect to at least be put on public view, even if he wanted to obscure his previous name for security reasons.
I am in contact with a Romanian guy that is in contact with Tony’s agent for his Romanian tour. I managed to raise some red flags to these guys so they promised to ask some questions to Tony 
Anyway, first response from Tony agent was that his real name is Anthony Andonis which is a wrestling guy nowadays performing under the same (confusing) name of Tony Anthony. The bullshit gets more and more dirty :))
I feel it is vital that we get to the truth. Don’t let’s give up until we know one way or another, for certain. The story of the tiger etc. is unproveable either way, so there is no point in labouring those kind of points, but there is plenty that can be proved for sure. Thanks to all of you for your hard work. If this guy is not for real I for one would like to see him nailed as a fraud as soon as possible, but we need something concrete to clinch it, more than gut feelings. If he is a fraud then he has also been reading up on Christian conversions, as his story of his conversion experience parallels that of others I have heard in a lot of its details.

I feel exactly the same, enjoy the book, count how many times you say to yourself “oh come on, hes having a laugh” whilst reading it.

I agree, but if you confront him, that is the answer you will get and a lot of people accept that.
But he is repeatedly billed as 3 times world champion by his agents, which is a big claim for him to allow and gives the impression that he is far higher up the tree than a winner of an illegal competition. I would expect a Christian to want to be absolutely truthful and not allow any false impression to be given. Which is more fantastic?: his amazing story or the possibility that he is not half Chinese, possibly not even half Italian? Is it possible that, for example, he is actually a Greek Cypriot who was in jail in Nicosia for some run of the mill crime, was evangelised and led through a conversion experience by an Irish missionary and then spent the next two years making up this whole story and has now developed a successful and lucrative ministry, so firmly rooted in his fantasy that he cannot now ever dare reveal the truth? Which is more fantastic and unbelievable? Come on Tony. If you are for real, for the sake of your followers, and your faith, make your defense and prove that you are what you claim to be. Silence on your part will only damage you, whereas if you speak out and make a convincing defense you will be vindicated and strengthened. I will try not to make up my mind based on my own instincts, but if you do not defend yourself adequately you will be confirming to many what they already suspect. At least silence your critics where you can and prove you are what and who you claim to be. The problem we all have is that we find you too hard to believe, without some basic evidence. At least show us your medals and trophies. At least speak to us in fluent Cantonese. Yes, I dare you, show us your scars. Otherwise, why should anyone believe you? Even Christ himself gave many proofs of his status and even of his resurrection. Why should we believe your story because you say it is true, when even you admit it is “unbelievable”. I challenge you to join this forum and to enter into open debate with your critics and challengers. If you are true, then you have nothing to lose and all to gain by doing so.

The reason his supporters won’t debate is that they fear that in being disloyal to him they may be being disloyal to their group, and even to Christ. They keep silent just in case he is for real. Remember that nearly all of them have the pressure of being in a close knit group of believers, and it is very hard to express doubts openly when you think the whole of the rest of your group are unquestioning of a matter. On balance they prefer to believe in him, but some will have nagging doubts that they are trying not to listen to. The problem is that without some hard evidence of fraud and dishonesty it all becomes just a matter of trading strongly held opinions. We need to be able to show conclusively not just that a claim cannot be proven, but that it can be definitely disproven. We should also bear in mind that if he was exposed as a fraud many people, including large Christian organisations would lose face. They will only begin to express their doubts when the balance shifts. This is why I think that the only way to deal with the matter is in direct contact with Tony himself. I am hopeful that he will take up the challenge to come out and defend himself publicly. There is no excuse he can make for not doing so, as to ignore the concerns of others, many of which are held by members of his own faith-group, is unloving and is against Scripture which enjoins him as a Christian to be ready to make a defense of his testimony. He is also advised to avoid even the appearance of evil. Therefore, as a claimed Christian, he has no option but to respond.
I am a Christian, I attend regular church but I take BS from nobody. I am ready to confrount Tony when he will be in Bucharest for some meeting, hopefully in front of many people. The problem is this: Christianity means, among others, accepting the supernatural (Jesus made many miracles for example). For some people, this means they will believe whatever miraculous, unbelievable or ridiculous claims an evangelist may do. Once Tony has penetrated the evangelical circle by preaching to one or two christian respectable events, he has open doors to any evangelical church. No one will start to check him after he spoke in several churches in the last years.
That is great to hear, but unfortunately, unlike you, and I hope myself, many Christians are stupidly credulous. For example the recurrent gold teeth scams, the leg growing fads etc. Often, sadly, fake ministries are only finally exposed when they fall into some incontrovertible sin, such as adultery or financial corruption, and are caught red handed.

Lets try keep to on topic, as we have had many of these conversations previously which wont lead to much. I would also recommend to the new posters read the whole thread, as there have been a few things being reposted.
I think now, due to the lack of a FAQ, is the time to contact everyone that is booking TA and inform them of the holes in his story.

Interestingly, I never heard of this man up until now. I’ve been into researching and listening to many famous evangelist and preachers but I have never ever heard of this Tony Antony

No, his grandfather is not alive. He died at 95. He is answering about his parents. See page 169 of his book.
Terrafirma, I do not agree with your last post. TA is the one making extraordinary claims all over the world, not us. So the burden to prove it is on him. In my opinion, we (humbly counting me in) already proved TA to be at least dubious and unreliable as he never provided hard evidence at our requests: world champion diplomas, video with his MA performance, speaking Cantonese, marks on his hands, identification of his granpa etc. For the discerning audience, we proved enough things regarding TA. For young enthusiast christians being his fans, proofs will never be sufficient.
Otherwise, tomorrow I will write a book in which I defeated TA several times in China while I was visiting the Great Wall when I was 12 years old Plus I have beaten Chung Soo Ling very very hard, while polishing my shoes with TA’s favourite white tiger… and let TA prove I am fake :-))
Fair comment Overseas. What I’m trying to say is that no one has actually proved anything. It is all opinions and suspicions and guesswork, and some of the anti TA posts are right over the top. You may be right and that the burden of proof lies with TA. I very much hope that he can be persuaded to come out and defend himself. I believe he should, and if I was his best friend I would seek to persuade him to.
However it can’t be right to state conclusively that he is a fake, liar etc. without even one piece of hard proof. If, for example, it could be shown that he doesn’t speak Cantonese, that would be more than enough.
Someone needs to meet up with him - but someone not too confrontational. It is no good starting off, “You are absolutely definitely a complete and utter liar and a fake, nothing will persuade me that you are not, now answer my questions…”
You are also right about making a civilized, argumented and intelligent opposition to TA claims, for the sake of those that look for an objective opinion on TA. On the other hand, TA by his own will submits himself to the high ethical standards of the Christian faith. In this respect, his silence, failure to produce evidence and avoiding to meet his critics should ring a bell to many of his fans.
I feel the need to somehow summarise our knowledge on TA, basically a logical summary of your efforts up to know. Say in a PDF downloadable format. What do you think ?
