It’s not really my cup of tea either, the 10 is a bit…meh. But the Distillery is virtually next door so I felt I had to mention it.
If you get a chance, try the 21 or the 3 Wood. They’ve both been recommended to me by a friend who is big on his Islays, so may have a bit more to them than the 10.
And yes, it is triple distilled.
Since I mentioned Scapa… the Scapa 14-year-old is a very drinkable malt. It has this light aftertaste of honey, but is neither cloying nor heavy - nor even all that sweet, oddly enough - and once a glass is finished you find yourself absently pouring yourself another. It’s less a nightcap whisky and more a whisky you’d put a fair dent in staying up late chatting with an old friend; it’s a moreish kind of whisky.
It’s on my to try list. Of the 2 Orcadian whiskies, I hear that the locals drink Scapa. I’ve no idea if this is true as I’ve never been up there.
Beer for me. I woke up with a raging hangover from killing that bottle of Redbreast and didn’t make it to GJJ cause I was sure my head would explode the first time anyone tried to choke me out.
Aberlour with a dash of water. Milder than the Ardbeg and nice just before bed. Almost too mild, actually.
I popped my elbow a couple of weeks ago, so that is my excuse for drinking rather than training. I was able to do a judo class without fucking it up more though which was good fun.
Back to training tomorrow and I can’t wait. However training without aircon in 39 degree heat is really going to suck a lot. Just hope it’s cooler tomorrow.
gravious has an excuse. You others sound like you do it for no reason. I’m saying I don’t do anything but, have a legiment reason. A threads have somethig to do w/ me and everyone else in the world. A wide variety of subjects. So soex dodo when you releive yourself you think of me, how thought full of you. I was also noticing everyones varrots and you all are not to far from me. Once again, I will not provide proof. Actually, I usually jump between 190lbs. & 200 lbs. Thats a little more than light weight. However, I do enjoy my own blood and the blood of others when an event comes to pass. I don’t usually eat rats because you become a snitch.
