It is my Friday. What Whiskey you drinking?

Jamesons cause Bushmills is for orange wearing lillyfags.

Jameson’s is owned by the French.

Who’s the faggot now?

LIES!

edit: I think I have cancer on my neck. I need to call the DR.

Poke around here:

Click on “Brands.” Should be obvious from there. I was upset too, but not as upset as when I found out that Stoli is also owned by them.

Kinda a weird tale of tales. A student of mine’s mom worked for Mumm in Napa. It is a sparkling winery. Good stuff. Anyways, it was owned by Seagrams. Seagrams was owned by Sony (my memory is bad but I think it was Sony.) Anyways, Xmas time they got these affilliated gift cards fromt he company. Just whatever you wanted from Sony and it was like ANYTHING! You wanted booze you could pick your kind. You wanted music, ya that too. It was pretty cool stuff.

Beringers at one time was owned by Foster’s beer. Sounds crazy, but whatever. The wine didn’t change. The people that were making it were the same. Just the assholes at the top changed.

That’s my point. I know for a fact that the production is the same. But every time you buy a bottle of that delicious liquor, some of your purchase money goes to those yellowbellied fucks.

Personally, I sleep better at night knowing that I drank something else.

It is all owned by someone other than the person who is making it. Take that to the bank.

Just as long as it’s not the French doing the owning.

Oh, and the American Craft Beer Industry. California Wineries. Some of the smaller production bourbon distilleries in Kentucky. The people making are often the people owning. The American Cowboy Lives On. Inside us all.

Captain Morgans.

I’m drinking beer - its pretty caloric is a problem…

Come on, France. Right here, right now.

Whiskey. JTS Brown. No ice. No Glass

If I may take a liberty with the spelling and go with whisky to move my drink across the Irish sea…

Last night I was drinking small quantities of a very nice 17-year-old Cragganmore interspersed with drams of the Aberlour 15-year-old sherry cask. The Aberlour isn’t a bad whisky, it’s smooth and rich and a little sweet thanks to the sherry cask, but the Cragganmore blows it away. Friends who’ve tried younger Cragganmores tell me they’re not so hot, but if you age whisky enough magical things happen.

(I’m a lucky bastard. I live in Scotland, I have whisky-loving friends. I get a lot of exposure to the better Scotch whiskies.)

I am fricken jealous. Can I come live with you?

I like Tullamore Dew better than Jamesons or Bushmills.

I was actually thinking of getting some gin tonight. My friends birthday was yesterday, i don’t think he got drunk enough.

Hold on, you drank? Rum even? wtf?

An ex of mine used to bring me both of these from her frequent trips Scotland. I always enjoyed how different Aberlour tasted because of the Sherry cask aging. The 12 year sherry cask aged wasn’t bad either. Unfortunately, she’s currently mad at me for joining the military, so who knows when my little smuggling operation can begin again.

The Glenlivet, too. Aaach, say it ain’t so, say it ain’t so.

I drink a true Scotch for a man who likes the taste of Scotch:

I used to drink Bushmill’s 12 year old single malt, but have since seen the light and converted to Redbreast pure pot. AFAIK, it ain’t owned by the French or any orange wearing anglophiles (and by “anglophile” I mean likes to dress up like a school girl and get spanked before taking up the arse from the English). Its got to be one of the smoothest, if not the smoothest, whiskies I’ve ever partaken of. As for Scotch, I like Ardbeg Nice oaky/peaty taste with a good finish.
