Asian formsI find tobe too polite,as if to deny that it is about life and death, not merely another worthless day. That both the killer and the dead will cease to exist in some way when the fight is done.
this is how I feel about most things in asian culture and about most individual asians I know.
I hate latino culture as well but for its blood and its honesty. I don’t give a rat’s ass if I get the crap beaten out of me for being an outspoken woman as long as my attacker has an honest reason for wanting to beat me down.
Of course though, he will never take me. I seek the truth and simply will not stop for anyone.
Psychology is nonsense, which is why I disdain the field in its entirety, though some aspects of my business dictate that I must be familiar with it.
If you don’t care or have no interest, get off this thread. Your contributions are semi-worthwhile but I can smell your apathy and it stinks worse than my pants from letting myself bleed unabsorbed.
Yeah, that works almost as well, except for being utterly meaningless in its description. But, have it your way, you always do though no one ever bothers to notice or comment on it. They’re afraid of you, but I am not. Stalker.
It’snot a game where I’m going. Not without high stakes at least.
I am also training as a massage therapist. I like to eat more than I care about being disgusted by someone else’s body or fearful of destroying something far more beautiful and delicate than I am, so I am already over it, just not happy or at peace with that.
sigh The bowing is only in the school, not in REALITY. The philosophy doesn’t necissarily have any true correlation to the fighting. The terminology…hmmm…I don’t get how the terminology can be too polite. And finally the Gi…NOT ALL ASIAN FORMS USE THE GI.
Well then, introduce me to one that doesn’t have all the annoying formalities, AND doesn’t have an inherently misogynist trajectory, and I’ll accept it as a viable form for my purposes.
I know BJJ has some asian roots, but doesn’t much strike me as asian, particularly since it is the primary fighting style in the US army, for all the lack of high cheerleading kicks.
BJJ…WOOHOOO!! Btw, DP, I bought this book by Royler Gracie. It’s titled Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Submission Grappling Techniques. Do you think it’s any good?
Well, if I’m not reading you precisely as you see yourself, either you don’t see yourself correctly or you don’t want to be seen. PErhaps the fear I see is that which you have of others and yourself. What can I do about that?
I think Submission Grappling Tech. is a really good one. It’s still focused in the ADCC ruleset though. If you’re looking for more MMA based jiujitsu book, I’d pick up No Holds Barred by Rodrigo Gracie as well. Both books are great for the no-gi game.
