I caught him in the act. In fact, he wrote a paper on the entire structure of Slammer. I found it while working undercover. I personally believed he released it in error, which if you know anything about the worm’s structure, would have been easy especially for someone who was psyched out on shrooms all the time.
And right after Slammer dropped, he took it all offline, burned all his gear, and it’s never been found since. The only reason more people didn’t die was, you know, Emergency Management prep.

I read a few articles, I just quoted that one because it summarised it on one page. If you know as much as you say you know, then yes it would be amazing to have calmer discussions about those kinds of topics. It’s my field of focus as well, i’m not hands on keyboard great anymore, i always get pushed into co-ordination roles, so i’ve accepted my fate, but i understand the field fairly well. Just to be clear i could find no article or reference to benny being the origin of the attacks, only the author of similar code.
