I was in Korea last year. Try buying a stanard karate uniform or a Tang Soo do uniform.

I was told by 3 stores that TSD/ moo duk kwan does not exist or it’s TKD. Then they tried to sell me a V neck TKD uniform.

You should have gone to Sang Moo Sa in Seoul. They sell the TSD uniforms, or you could have visited SBD HQ in Seoul.

His account is definately slanted. I think it comes mainly to market his art as Korean to compete against TKD.

His writtings never slams TKD by name, but he does Slam Martial arts that become sports.

A lot of what GM Hwang Kee spoke of, concerning his studies, can be verified. However, what he did leave out in his version of history is the fact that he studied under GM Lee, Won-kuk of the Chung Do Kwan at one time. It was GM Lee who allowed him to use the name Tang Soo Do, as it was Lee’s school name first, prior to changing. Soo Bahk Do was something to make it more “Korean” when the big trend to nationalize everything came about.
