I think it should have an official thread to talk about it. But I’m having trouble watching it. I have youtube tv and it has the olympics on it. I press record and it recorded only parts of it. I turned on the tv yesterday to watch judo and the first thing it showed was the men’s final in a particular weight class. I’m like WTF why didn’t you show the rest of the matches leading up to the final? Does anyone else have this problem? Anyway this thread is about the olympics and you can talk about anything in the olympics you want.

Kazakhstan has inspired me to start entering some local Judo spots just to sandbag the black belts.
There’s really nothing more satisfying. Sex, Olympic judo, beating up black belts.
My mother walked in while I was watching the olympic judo matches. She told me I should have paid for peacock because they have a deal to film the entire olympics not just bits and pieces of it. My mother also told me judo was boring so I put her body in the freezer. She knew I did judo for years so she should have known better than to say that.
I won’t believe in your prowess unless you fight and throw 10 black belts in a row.

Judo ain’t easy, but it’s my favorite thing ever. I’m pushing 50 but I’d love to get back into competition.
So there seems to be quite a lot of brewing controversy about women’s boxing. I haven’t dug in deeply, but doesn’t seem to fit the outrage narrative that many are claiming.
From the little I have read thus far, it seems like either something like a congenital condition like androgen insensitivity or even just propaganda/smear campaign from the now defunct boxing governing body.
Anyone have more reliable and less sensational sources on this?

Was discussing this at training this morning.
I have not seen anywhere near enough to say she is not eligable for the Olympics and is not a born female with every right to be doing what she is doing.
That said I dont know why she isnt just insisting the IBA dont just release all of her testing and the criteria to clear her name.
If she was not allowed to compete at the world championships due to some bullshit criteria then lets all see it .
