Myspace or Facebook?

So, I’m thinking of venturing into the world of “social networking”. It seems that just about everybody has a page on one of those sites and some people even use them as a semi-professional referrence. So, if I’m only going to have one, which one? I figure you young and internet savy kids should know about this stuff. :glasses2:

Use both. Use the facebook to present a relatively professional face, use the myspace to socialize.

Facebook has always been my goto because it’s so much cleaner than myspace
<-backs up as the flame war starts…

Use neither you’re a bit late to the social networking scene. The industry is shat now, I’d even bet that they’re on their way out.

But if it’s something you just have to do here is the old standby:

If you are under 16 or a pedophile: Myspace.
If you love to send badgering emails and outright annoy everyone you know: Facebook.

There are plenty of other options by the way, google them I recommend some of the more exclusive sites as they promote professionality and some even require another member to invite you to join.

I started on facebook while in college. Fuck Myspace. As a matter of fact, fuck “online social networking”.

Myspace is for kids. It’s a complete mess and will make your computer slow down circa 1997.

Facebook is nice and tidy, unless you have retard friends who add hundreds of shitty, pointless applications to prove how much personality they have.

I suggest facebook or devo (i mean bebo) then you get to look at all the hot pictures of me with my moobs and amazingly fatful stomach

Looks like I’m going to go with facebook, at least to start. Next request: Someone point me to some good facebook pages so that I can get a feel for how to make mine.

one of the best things about facebook is the ability to write and add apps.

iread is one of the better facebook apps, you can see what your friends are reading and make suggestions to each other about good books.

of course most people on here read books like “see dick run” and “the cat in the hat” so it would be wasted on them.

The best thing about facebook is that you can play scrabble on it.

Facebook is full of annoying people sending you annoying applications that ask how hawt you’d be if you were a zombie.

At least myspace lets me put schuper-schweet flash on my profile.

You could always just…socially network IRL. I know that sounds extreme.

I reeds biblez

yeah, that too, but i’m going to get in trouble at work if i become any less productive.

between obsessive posting on this site and playing scrabble with my friends, i haven’t been getting much done.

work already blocks facebook… god help me if they start blocking bullshido. I highly doubt it though, I mostly work with cunts and pussies so they’re probably clueless about teh realz MA message board

You’re a pimp?

Nice.

Aight. Here it is: http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1037740867 Needs work. Needs a better picture (just stole my avatar from here). Now explain to me how to find some of you here who have pages there.

myspace to socialize and talk about hobbies and shit

facebook for a cleaner look (good for staying in touch with pals from college and friends who don’t want to deal with the myspace shit.)

likedin for professional networking.

I can’t see your page from work (damn work nazis!), but the first thing you should do is find the Bullshido group and join it. At the top left of your profile there is a search bar - type in Bullshido and when the group comes up, click to join. Then check out the ‘who you are in real life’ topic, post your deets, and send friend requests to anyone you actually want to get in touch with.

Cheers!

You should post yours up. Also you should change your DNS servers so you can use it at work.
