My spinning side kick has a higher force than Rogans

Do you learn to sprawl in Aikido/hapkido?

If someone performs a double leg takedown, you can’t grip fight him. His hands are wrapped on your legs.

So then what? Defer the kido practioner to a wrestling class?

You can strike, but a skilled double leg happens so fast once your arm is raised, you’d be off your feet, and THE intended target strike zone will have moved .

But don’t tell Sensei Seagal that. He thinks he has all the time in the world to chop the neck with the knife hand strike. “Sever the Brain stem”

Or as Austin Powers would call it, judo chop.

Clearly you have never wrestled.
In Wrestling, hand fighting is trained A LOT, especially at the higher levels.

My best guess is you both suck at grappling, and are amateur hobbyists.

@Dr.Gonzo Doesn’t matter if I suck.

Just like speed can mask inabilities in striking, so too can grip strength in grappling

In other words you can’t expose my lack of knowledge if I just stall you.

They don’t train wrist locks

They use hand fighting to impair their opponent’s offense, including leg attacks.

Try to figure out what I am explaining to you, before you respond.

@Dr.Gonzo The discussion was wrist locks. I’m always amazed at how you think physical performance is in complete isolation.

If I torque my hip to generate a round kick YouTube cant’t register, you don’t think I can use the exact same hip twist to explode into a submission?

Do you think I turn into George Foreman speed simply because I grapple? It’s the same body.

Ngannou has performed kimuras in high level UFC, and according to Eddie Bravo, Ngannou did not take any interest into BJJ at that time. His knowledge was pretty much casual.

Even today he doesn’t know much JJ. He just layed on top of a striker like a stranded seal and Cormier laughed at him.

That is nothing that I have ever said or implied.

Gracie Jiu-Jitsu imported the Kimura from Judo,
Judo imported it from Catch Wrestling.

Gracie Jiu-Jitsu also imported the Americana lock from wrestling.

You said I probably suck at grappling

That would mean that I’m a fast twitching idiot savant in kicking and that it bares no relation to any other martial arts endeaover.

Which is false and you know it.

Grapple the most explosive guy in a kickboxing gym and compare to the rest. His grip strength will differ from the rest

It doesn’t matter where it came from.

Kickboxers who are not also well trained in grappling tend to be easy prey in grappling situations.

And I have no reason to think that you have particularly fast twitch speed or reflexes.

It’s clear that you don’t know much or understand much about wrestling, however.

@Dr.Gonzo Chael Sonnen claimed wrestling is one of those things you either have it or you don’t. And it relates to how you move your hips.

I did have a documented talent for wrestling even though I didn’t take classes.

I did sumo rules grappling vs a wrestler and threw him after probably 4 minutes of intense struggle.

You’re just making a fool out of yourself with your comments.

Believe what you want. We only have Greco Roman wrestling training over here and I Still threw him.

I’ve sprawled at aikido tournaments and I’ve seen other people sprawl at the venues too. But I was never taught to sprawl in aikido class.

Dan the wolfman is big and strong but you don’t need to be to throw people with kotegaeshi. I don’t know how stong this guy is but he looks pretty lanky.

The reason the guy wasn’t able to throw you with kotegaeshi is because he’s incompetent. I don’t care what rank he is. He flat out isn’t used to throwing it against people who resist even a tiny bit. The difference between the guy you’re talking about and the youtube video I posted is that he trains against people who fight back constantly.

@Tomiki Maybe the TkD Guy only used arm instead of full body integration?

Lanky guys can be super strong.

I have no idea what that means can you be more specific?

I have no idea how strong he is. I’m just making a generalized statement.
