I wasn’t able to get any footage but KK won his division at the 2012 NAGA New England Grappling Championship. He’s been hitting the mats pretty hard for the last 5 months or so and has become a convert to grappling. He’s working at his gym assisting Osiris with the kids BJJ class, and doing much better in all aspects of his life.
Sorry about the lack of NAGA footage; here’s the most recent footage I have of him (Teen MMA class, kickboxing sparring)

He’s in the red shirt
wow nice. Congratulate him for me and T, will you?
Will do
Edit: That vid defaults to HD. I know your connection is a little slow, but you can switch it to normal res by clicking on the HD icon.
Just got back from NAPAGA. KK won gold in no-gi IBJJF by armbar, and lost his pankration match. I didn’t get the no-gi match on vid, but I have a decent video of the pankration match I’ll upload in a bit.
See, keep him focused on this, screw the other BS. Tell him to keep up the good work.
This thread is continuously plagued by my lack of a working video camera, but the NAGA people were shooting video of at least 1 of his matches today, so hopefully they put it up.
I am extremely proud of kk right now; he insisted on being enrolled in the expert division of both the Gi and No Gi competitions, saying that there was no point in being at the world championships if he wasn’t going to compete for the belt. He won gold at No Gi Teen Novice last time he competed (he’s a 2 stripe white), so he could have gone into Beginner, or Intermediate if he wanted to with no problem. He got in there with the best teens at his weight, fought 3 very competitive matches, never played for points, hunted subs the entire time, and was never taken down or passed (beyond 1/2 guard briefly). He lost all 3 matches, and set aside the medals he won (1 silver, 1 bronze)
The second match he actually might have won when he hit a pretty sweet rolling kneebar, switched it to a straight ankle lock, and had it pretty tight when he forgot the rules and reaped his opponents knee. Teens are usually warned for the 1st infraction of this type, but in the expert division they are held to the same standard as the adults, and so he was DQ’d. He also fought this match without benefit of any coach (I yelled basic common sense stuff from the line which he actually listened to, except when I yelled “don’t reap!” and he did anyway)
He showed so much heart, character and scramble today I really wouldn’t be any prouder if he pulled off a win or three.
Hopefully pics or vids will be available later on.
Edit: it was a mildly epic case of reverse sandbaging
Well done!
That’s awesome!
The Good Fight Boston Open Teen Blue Belt division
no gi

The other kid clearly reaps himself :\

Good match. The female player is the daughter of a senior guy from Barra Boston
Same two blue belts, gi matches

The skill differential is more evident with the gi on. In no gi he’s hanging with the best teens at every tournament.
Why no embed? I do not know
Here you go: (It won’t embed with the https: prefix. Take the S out). p.s. your first two vids are the same vid.
Some good shit up in this motherfucking thread right here. How old is KK? Those skills seem to be coming along like a motherfucker. And that attitude is fucking crucial.
That video of the MMA sparring don’t work though.

KK’s 16 now. He’s got about 9 months of BJJ on top of a few years of dabbling and crappling, and he’s got about 8.5-9 years of Muaythai and SanDa.
Here’s the missing match
Question, if you can’t see the MMA vid you might have to join this FB group: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=357726174243377#!/groups/154121521292267/
Here’s some of the older stuff of his…
This is about 3.5 yers old; Ammy Shooto rules (yes, the choke, I know). He did about a month of sub grappling preparing for this fight. He’s in the orange trunks.
This is another one, about 1 year and a half ago… his first time training with the legit boxers (he was still a pure kickboxer at the time). He ended up doing about a year of pure boxing after this whooping
And one more vs Strikistanian later that same night. This one is really telling because KK is slightly outboxing Strikistanian these days; back then… not so much.
I know these last few are not comp footage, but I’m trying to get all his vids in one place.
1st
Kin’s boxing looks really good in that clip. If he’s outboxing Kin now then he must really be going great guns with that shit. Awesome.
I’m fucking melting with envy. Good shit.

Kin is a scary monster. He’s about to go pro (mma).

Kin is the hardest working person in the sport I know; I’ve seen him show up to coach teens at NAGA the day after competing in Golden Gloves, put on his gear, and jump right into no gi Intermediate on a whim and win gold. He fights as much as possible in every combat sport he’s trained for, and does very well in Ammy MMA. If he’s about to go pro then I am getting very old, because his plan was to wait until he graduated from College, and it seems like yesterday that he was still in high school
