I like to pretend I know what I'm talking about

ITF Taekwondo World Champion Tomaz Barada is 84-0 in WAKO Kickboxing.
Do you even know anything about TKD and it’s different styles?? The best modern-day ITF TaeKwonDo guys (Zelg Galesic, Raymond Daniels) transitioned to Kickboxing rules EASILY. It’s basically the same fn rules. One of the three existing ITF organizations allow you to punch ad infinitum. Tell me how thats different from WAKO Kickboxing, which has half a dozen of ITF guys
Let me see how many things you got wrong in this. Ray did not do ITF TKD (I know Ray personally since he was 16 years old).WAKO Kickboxing has several rule set so you’re going to have to narrow them downNo ITF orginization allows you to punch a guy in the face while on the ground “ad infinitum” Strawman. Why are you still here?

Daniel Cormier 2 time Olympic Gold medalist in WRESTLING currently Light Heavy weight UFC World Champion. What’s your point?

Raymond Daniels is a 5th degree black belt in ITF TaeKwonDo. Ask him. He was a finalist in PRO Taekwondo, which is a tournament for ITF TaeKwonDo fighters wanting full contact. And he wore A TKD dobok under neath. Watch his PRO Taekwondo fight on Youtube and you will see for yourself

And when I wrote that at least one ITF allows you to punch ad infinitum, I of course mean Standing up. I didn’t know I had to make that clear., since most Kickboxing organisations or Muay Thai rules don’t allowed punching a downed opponent.

Okey Daniels is apparently a Kukkiwon Taekwondo 5th degree, not ITF. Anyway… Tomaz Barada is an ITF guy who is 84-0, and he fights exactly the same way as in the ITF tournaments. How odd!!!
Daniel Cormier 2 time Olympic Gold medalist in WRESTLING currently Light Heavy weight UFC World Champion. What’s your point?
Daniel Cormier does not fight the same way in both. Barada does.
You don’t think I exhibited any form of skill?

There is one guy in my TKD school who is good, and I sparred him today. He has an above the waste kickboxing background. Full contact.

He roundhoused and spin kicked against my blocks and tripped on his ass half a dozen times.

He may proclaim to be the superior ring fighter, but I could have grabbed anyone of his roundhouse kicks and dumped his ass to the ground. That’s the main reason I hate kickboxing. Silly combos. I like Thaiboxing more
You just “I spar to win,” “sport vs street” and changed kickboxing to TKD in one post. Do you play tight end for the New England Patriots?
Notice that there’s been no reply.

How long have you been boxing?

How old are you?

I ask because I boxed a bit in the early 80’s. Kickboxed in the early 90’s. Have seen good and bad with much in between. You haven’t boxed enough for brain damage. Were you dropped on the head early or born stupid?
Note to self:

OP is ducking a simple question. Would probably do the same if had to fight.

Wrist flicking? Bwahahahaha

I did not claim that was boxing.

I’m just saying if he throws that roundhouse kick on concrete, it will be the last thing he does. The street is the true measure of fighting abilities. I have no problem with a Kickboxer having ring control and athletic abilities. BUT that shit only works in shiny pants in safe environments… I would clinch or just slam him to the ground, as I have done to real Street fighters far bigger than me.
Daniel Cormier does not fight the same way in both. Barada does.
Oh shit you mean he doesn’t do takedowns in the UFC? Or does he punch people in wrestling?

Cormier does Not ONLY wrestle. Your point is thus mute. Barada does not do one thing differently in WAKO compared to ITF.

Was in a hurry and being lazy as I ran out the door. I know wayyyyy to much about KMA’s.

I should have said MOST TKD as people know it in the USA is not even close to kickboxing. That was my bad, I said something stupid through carelessness and rushing.
Cormier does Not ONLY wrestle. Your point is thus mute. Barada does not do one thing differently in WAKO compared to ITF.
My point is perfectly fine dumbass. Kickboxing is a ruleset not a style.

So, how long have you been boxing? Saw that you’re fairly young by the video. Do you realize you’re arguing with people who have more time in the sport, maybe more time on the shitter than you’ve been alive?
My point is perfectly fine dumbass. Kickboxing is a ruleset not a style.
That’s not true. There are Kickboxing gyms with WAKO Kickboxers instructing. They claim their style of Kickboxing is a mixture of Boxing, Karate, Taekwondo and Boxing. Also known as American Kickboxing.

Kickboxing is a ruleset not a style. There are styles that claim the name of kickboxing but that doesn’t make them kickboxing, Didn’t we just have that conversation about Kung-fu. Hell we’re technically having this conversation about Taekwondo. You argue like a 13 year old.

I have done ITF TKD for 3 and half years, boxing for one term. My father is however a former European Champion in Shotokan Karate and the highest ranked instructor in his organization. A legend in Karate.

How old do you think I am based on my facial features?

By that logic, Western Boxing is not a style either. Just a ruleset.
