This goes under MA Standards. My question is:
What is the “right” intensity for MMA/Striking sparring?
Background: Two guys beat the shit out of each other tonight, preparing for their MMA fights next week. They were bleeding all over the place and stopped only after a knockdown - after, they had to make a couple trips to the bathroom. Also one of them was caught with a roundhouse to the thigh, so they had to drain it manually. Later we got into a debate: they think it made them into real men, I think they are idiots. All the striking I do is with big boxing gloves and we don’t go for KOs. Seeing this fight made me want to stick to the big gloves for a while.
Don’t be a fucktard and answer the fucking question. Do you think that’s the right intensity for sparring a week before the real thing? Would you train the same way?
Nope. I agree that it is a stupid thing to do. But unless i’m mistaken, your original post does not come under “standards” as far as “frauds, investigations and standards” is usually meant and should not be in this sub-forum.
Honestly i think you are full of shit Grappler and have most likely never seen a full contact sparring match let alone witnessed the one above, begone troll.
Now, if a troll and 2 oily MMA guys and a goat get into the ring and start sucking each others dicks (well, the goat is nibbling) when is the correct time for them to stop before they get caught with a mouth full of man juice? I mean, seriously, if they do not stop quick enough, then there is going to be some definite limp sausage in then room. I mean, if you DON’T go hard enough, then they need manual stimulation and the such.
