I was visiting down on the cape a few years ago, I believe that Kempo school allowed me to work out with you guys.
Were you the guy who had done some sambo, and some FMA if I recall?

I would agree with your assesment. I have trained with Hanshi on several occasions. He is a very good martial artist and I believe that he has taken Mitose’s teachings to a new level with his interpretation, which I believe is what, from what I heard, is how Mitose would have wanted it.
I would disagree with you on one point. Unless Thomas Mitose has been doing things to promote his father’s system or doing things for the martial arts outside his own little world, that I have not heard of, I feel Hanshi has full rights to the system. He has spent countless hours doing seminars and spreading the teachings (or his interpretation of them) of Mitose. Thank you for the insight.
Yes, based on effort, I suppose I would go with Juchnik, but I feel that neither has but a tenuous claim on ‘pure kosho ryu’, not for lack of efforts, but due to the fact I feel that James Mitose’s Kosho Ryu barely exists - it’s almost like Historical Fiction.

Matt, Omega was the guy that ran in around in a purple gi and tried to hide his boner when he asked a couple of students to grapple

Wow, you do have a good memory.
Necro alert! I wrote that Chow didn’t do formal kata. I stand corrected. Here on John Bishop’s page is a video from the sixties: http://www.kajukenboinfo.com/professor_chow.aspx
