Maybe you should Google (lol) “Trust and Safety”. If you were to read the so-called Twitter files and look at who among the former ghastly were hired by Twitter and Meta, it would be a good idea to pay attention to their job titles and the “divisions” they were hired into.

Alphabet is the new(ish) name for Google. I worked for a time doing Trust and Safety. Which is the tech function that deals with content on platforms that could “harm” users, including things like “misinformation”, “disinformation”, and “malinformation”. It’s the landing spot for spooks and also one of those fields in tech that is not really productive aka an email job and often a sinecure.
