Does anyone else notice how cranky Muslims are during Ramadan

Has anyone noticed how the Muslim people around them are so cranky lately? They can’t eat all day and they can’t even drink any kind of liquid so that’s understandable.

Even if you don’t have any Muslim coworkers ask people who do and they’ll tell you how cranky they are. I’ve noticed it even among a Muslim person I talk to online. I was joking with this girl l talk to online like I always do and she said don’t piss me off while I’m fasting.

I honestly believe that Muhummad created Ramadan just to fuck with his followers.

Nope. Every Muslim we have had through our gym have been straight up delightful. Straight through ramadan the whole business.

Our coach who makes constant terrorist jokes. Didn’t even make the link between the Turkish guy who doesn’t drink, smoke or swear. An his religion he was constantly making fun of.

They will break like everyone else eventually and be glad when ramadan is almost over.

It’s very inappropriate for your coach to be making terrorist jokes especially if he has muslim students.

Australia is a different culture.

The muslims I’m talking about don’t complain either and the ones I know don’t eat pork or drink alcohol. But they are extremely cranky.

So other people telling me their Muslim coworkers are cranky lately means?

two of my clients are muslims who are really not having fun through Ramadan, but still maintain their pleasantness and hard work in the gym. We just work their intensity and rest periods around their fatigue they will feel.

that’s some devotion working out without water

typically early morning within an hour or two after food, with lower intensity.

I’m also not the only one in my gym who does this.

Go spend some time on places like r/islam and such where people talk about this every time it’s Ramadan, engage with the people you’re talking about instead of wallowing in ignorance and calling what you don’t know for a fact as BS.

Generally, longer rest and not going super high on intensity is how we do things until we clear Ramadan. Think like a deload period in other training meso or macrocycles.

It sounds too risky or dangerous. But if they manage to do it somehow more power to them.

They train with us during.

Martial art classes are at night so I assumed they were drinking water during your class.

I don’t think so.

Yeah absolutely, the guys i know have been doing it since they were young, so they are so used to it and it doesn’t bother them.

Yeah the gym guys don’t stop, they keep training, not uncommon.

So he was in last night. So I bailed him up and asked.

Basically he will have some salt and water in the morning an avocado and a banana or something.

Then go though the day.

Before training which was at night he had some fruit. Then after he got back at about 8:30 he will have a big protein meal.

He said the other day he did a 40 minute cardio bike session just before he broke fast.

He doesn’t have that big an issue.

Remind me, who’s job is it to know exercise specifications and check research into protocols, adapt with said clients based on their feedback of energy levels and hydration, advising them to skip the session if needs be?

All these precautions just prove my point that it’s really dangerous to train in the middle of the day in Ramadan.

No. No more than any other exercise considerations for anyone intermitent fasting, not for people with injuries or other health considerations.

Your claim is like saying ‘food poisoning occuring at all is just proof eating is dangerous and shouldnt be done’

It’s called being considerate of exertion, hydration, energy levels, lifestyle etc. You’ve proved nothing, only assumed.

Nothing to do with Muslims.

Fasting is a part of every major religion, but specially the Abrahamaic ones.

Ask any Keto dieter if they want a bagel with cream cheese, you’ll see fire and murder in their eyes.
