Does anyone else notice how cranky Muslims are during Ramadan

So he was in last night. So I bailed him up and asked.

Basically he will have some salt and water in the morning an avocado and a banana or something.

Then go though the day.

Before training which was at night he had some fruit. Then after he got back at about 8:30 he will have a big protein meal.

He said the other day he did a 40 minute cardio bike session just before he broke fast.

He doesn’t have that big an issue.

Remind me, who’s job is it to know exercise specifications and check research into protocols, adapt with said clients based on their feedback of energy levels and hydration, advising them to skip the session if needs be?

All these precautions just prove my point that it’s really dangerous to train in the middle of the day in Ramadan.

No. No more than any other exercise considerations for anyone intermitent fasting, not for people with injuries or other health considerations.

Your claim is like saying ‘food poisoning occuring at all is just proof eating is dangerous and shouldnt be done’

It’s called being considerate of exertion, hydration, energy levels, lifestyle etc. You’ve proved nothing, only assumed.

Nothing to do with Muslims.

Fasting is a part of every major religion, but specially the Abrahamaic ones.

Ask any Keto dieter if they want a bagel with cream cheese, you’ll see fire and murder in their eyes.

In intermitent fasting I assumed people could drink water. That’s why @PDA called you bullshit. I’m not saying you made it up I’m just saying it’s dangerous considering all the considerations you have to make.

Lot’s of people online discuss this, articles etc. Obviously there are many muslims that choose to continue training. Here is one article with recommendations.

I don’t think anyone is saying it’s optimum to train during fasting, but there are many who want to continue to train, and there are considerations they can follow to train. Not sure why that’s an issue or beyond belief.

Politely I don’t have to answer to PDA because this is my job, not his, and if he wants to go off his personal assumptions when he clearly has no knowledge on the matter, you know, against the spirit of this community, I don’t have to engage.

Again, that’s what the considerations and modifications to training are for. Technically anything you do is dangerous to some extent, which is why you make those considerations. Why I have to explain this to a martial artist (I assume you are actively training?) I do not know.

I train and I drink lots and lots of water. It would be too dangerous if I didn’t. You’re a physical trainer so you understand the importance of hydration during exercise more than I do.

An American football coach had a majority of muslim players on his team and he made the entire team practice at night. Because they would die from the harsh practice if they practiced during the day.

Talking about fasting and water, some key facts.

You get most of your water from drinking, but 20-30% from eating, so if you fast you need to uptake your water, because you won’t absorb the water in food as fast.

And, most people are chronically dehydrated. You should be getting 1/2 your body weight in water every day, so if you’re 200 lbs you need 100oz of H20 every day either from liquid or solid food.

And that’s not if you’re living in the fucking desert , which covers a good portion of Islam. In that case, even more water.

Why did this show up on my reccomendations? The cleric is talking about the total opposite of fasting.

I had similar from this guy, I think his keyword guy is on point

What are you talking about?

I’m referring to your comment. I’ve had similar recommendations

Oh okay. I couldn’t figure out what you were talking about.
