Once again it’s a nuanced conversation. Can look at it from the perspective of spreading in terms of viral load, can look at it from the perspective of how much you could breath in. It depends on the size of the virus particles, the density of the material used to filter out particles, wether or not the virus can infect through other mechanisms such as the eyes, how well it fits the face, the quality of the seal. There are also risks associated with masks, how long you keep them on, how you handled them when taking them off, etc.
During the pandemic i was happy to wear a high quality mask, although I know it’s not a 100% effective, i felt like it was an extra layer of protection.

Why is it so hard to admit you are not qualified to question vaccine science, in the technical sense? You don’t work in the field, you don’t support the field (like I have done for 20 years), but you’re here on Bullshido.net supporting vaccine skepticism.

So my guess would be that they suspected that during the period of October 2014 and December 2017 there was an area of potential investigation by the newly incumbent administration.
During Dr Fauci’s questioning at the senate hearings I recall a heated exchange between Dr Fauci and the questioning senator as to what is classified as gain of function research and their opinions seam to differ.
So if during the period above if Fauci by his definition funded something that was not gain of function that is by a prosecutor considered gain of function research then he is open to prosecution which would explain why the pardon dates back to 2014.

That has not been confirmed. There is a lot of support from the scientific community, but it still has not been proven. Please provide the study conclusively proving that it originated in nature.
