Some video of two guys boxing “the story” says that the MMA guy (the blonde dude) was braggin about MMA having a better striking so he was challenged against a boxer in boxing match For english speakers the channels name translation would be “Hands of Magic” and seems to be the boxers channel
OK, I stopped at just after 3 mins. Mr Grey Shirt was very brave but grievously over-matched.
There is no context. A friend of mine once fought for his amateur club and looked at his opponent who was balding and about 30 years. My mate was about 18. He got punched from pillar to post. The opponent was an ex-England international.
The vid illustrates how schooled are boxers. Drill, drill, drill. Combinations. Bag work. Distancing. Moving into punching range and then out. Notice how relaxed he is so saving nervous energy.
The fight - cos that’s what it was, no headguard, gumshield?? - should have been stopped early.
Yeah, i’ve outboxed a few ‘pro boxers’ when I went to law school. Most of them were like 10-30lbs lighter than me though. har-har-har. Still, good pros will lay my ass out despite the weight difference.
and we have all learnt a valuable lesson about boxing and white carpet. Boxer did suprisingly well after the three minute mark. I was expecting to see a change.
Okay mma dude striking is fist and feet. So if you can’t use feet wtf did you think was your big advantage? Well he’s learned his lesson now hopefully.
great video. tbh tho, boxing a boxer really doesn’t prove or disprove “mma having better striking” than boxing. if it was a more open ruleset (standing) it would be a much better test (imho)
Honestly, I don’t see how this proves anything. It proves that the boxer has better hands than the MMA guy. Well of course he does! His entire art is based around punching. But If you limit the MMA guys arsenal ( he couldn’t clinch, he couldnt kick, he couldn’t knee or elbow or hammer fist etc ) then that kind of defeats the purpose.
