Hello All,
I was curious to see your opinion on the following Dojo. The stlye is Youn Wha Ryu and I’m debating on joining it since its the only place MA place in town. I read some controversy on this site about “Youn Wha Ryu” being illigitamite. Just curious on your thoughts…

ahem If you had read the stickies, you’d know that if something has already been discussed you can post it in that thread, not a new one. But anyway, here’s some threads that have been about youn wha ryu:

Just finished skimming through previous threads on YWR. The only controversy is that you’re still considering training there.
You didn’t start this thread because you seriously want to hear people’s opinions. You’ve already decided to train there and you just want someone to come on here and validate your decision.

I’m so glad I never took a TMA. I get that it was a demo, but I think that these people REALLY believe that they have legitimate fighting skills just because they can do what amounts to a fancy dance.

Seems to me that its basically TKD for those who like a black gi.
