By a lonely prison wall
I heard a young girl calling
“Michael, they have taken you away
For you stole Trevelyan’s corn
So the young might see the morn
Now a prison ship lies waiting in the bay”
Low lie the fields of Athenry
Where once we watched the small free birds fly
Our love was on the wing we had dreams and songs to sing
It’s so lonely 'round the fields of Athenry
By a lonely prison wall
I heard a young man calling
“Nothing matters, Mary, when you’re free
Against the famine and the crown
I rebelled, they cut me down
Now you must raise our child with dignity”
Low lie the fields of Athenry
Where once we watched the small free birds fly
Our love was on the wing we had dreams and songs to sing
It’s so lonely 'round the fields of Athenry
By a lonely harbour wall
She watched the last star falling
As that prison ship sailed out against the sky
For she lived in hope and pray
For her love in Botany Bay
It’s so lonely 'round the fields of Athenry
Low lie the fields of Athenry
Where once we watched the small free birds fly
Our love was on the wing we had dreams and songs to sing
It’s so lonely 'round the fields of Athenry
My time is up but I don’t care
I march alone, alienated
I won’t drift away
Born a loner, I don’t mind
I just need the pain to feel alive
I flirt with the dark
I’m suffocating
The turmoil inside
To set my demons straight
'Cause I’m not afraid of the absence of light
At the bottom of the well I find respite
And it doesn’t even matter if I’m dead or alive
Alone, I’m hosting the shadow
Listen back on the track
Is there something that you know?
I’ve heard this song before a long time ago
It once brought back a memory alone
Something lost, something gone
That you don’t recall
You did your best to forget, now it’s dead and gone
You want it all
You left it far behind
Can’t see the thought
There’s nothing in your mind
I’m just a white girl
From a small, safe town
What could I possibly know about destruction?
My lawn sure looks green today
Underneath these suburban skies
But the little boy next door wants to be the Lord of the Flies
It’s like Cain and Abel and the holy sacrifice
And I have to believe that God has closed his eyes
And if there is no Avalon and we only have one life
It’s hard to conceive why we let our brothers die
I remember
The hardest are the times I don’t forget
Neverender
And all I was about to be
'Cause I remember
The hardest are the times I don’t forget
Like an ember
Burning on
Until you’ve been beside a man
You don’t know what he wants
You don’t know if he cries at night
You don’t know if he don’t
Where nothing comes easy, old nightmares are real
Until you’ve been beside a man
You don’t know how he feels
Once inside a woman’s heart
A man must keep his head
Heaven opens up the door
Where angels fear to tread
Some men go crazy, some men go slow
Some men go just where they want
Some men never go
I’ve finally got a reasonable price for surgery. One scan and it’s decision if I do it. With this price, the savings I have left over nearly completely fund all of my world travels. I’ve stopped feeling super overwhelmed and I am relieved, if a little lost. What to do after?
Book editing tonight and this weekend. I’m going to start planning the last of my trips and budgets for what’s going to be seen first and when. Dog is doing well on her new pain meds and is brighter than she has been in some time. Training is going well, 52kg lunges with dumbells instead of a bar to work my grip is going nicely.
Flow so properly you’ll see I’m whoa
Ain’t no stopping me, I’m deep like whoa
Guns be popping, B, we creep like whoa
Hear my name in these streets, it’s like whoa
Desert rhymes, homie, riding beats, I’m on a camel
I’m way too hot to handle, life a beach, I brought my sandals
You want a war? I got a lot of ammo
You ain’t a soldier 'cause you rocking camo
Young Rambo, hundred million fans though
And I do it big, you a iPod Nano
Fire on wax, look like I rock candles
Yeah, you got a show, but you ain’t on my channel
