Violated: one idiot's quest for a tag

I’ve been lurking on this site for something in the realm of 12 years, but only now just decided to sign up and post. The insight provided here has been really helpful over the years, but now I need some specific advice.

I’m having a kickboxing next Saturday, and I want to know what I should be doing during my last week of preparation. I’ve competed in grappling before, but this is my first professional fight.

Cardio. You can’t change much of your technique in a week but you can at least slightly improve your cardio.

Define “professional.”

Holy Moment…

Honestly, I think it’s because none of them can afford the tolls to get out of the state. NJ revoked my driver’s license, once, and I’ve never even lived there.

Interstate compact?

They violate certain of your constitutional rights as well if you show up…

So, I lived in Claymont, DE. Decided to run to Wawa, one morning, for coffee. Took the wrong exit, and ended up on the Comm Barry Bridge, with only a credit card and my DL, but no cash. No place to turn around without traversing the toll both ways. Guy on the inbound lane said “no problem,” but apparently the telephone between his booth and the asshole on the outbound lane I ended up in wasn’t working. Let me through, after examining my license, and immediately filed a “failure to pay,” action with DE. Couple days later, I get the revocation notice in the mail. I had to do driver’s ed and pay a fine, I think it was around $160, back then. Most expensive cup of coffee I’ve never had.

This is how Timothy McVeigh’s are created.

^reminds me that Texas wants money because drove daughter’s car there when helping move. No toll gates. It’s probably up to a gazillion $ now + arrest warrant.

My opponent is making his pro debut as well, although he’s competed in amateur Pankration.

Made weight.

Was doing situps in the back of my team’s van right up until we got to the hotel the event is in.

I’m going to fucking kill this guy.

We need vid of you Krav’ing this dude up.

Good luck!
Break a leg or two!

I haven’t actually trained Krav Maga for about four years. For this fight, I’ve focused on pure Muay Thai for about a year.

Ditto, that. Kick some ass!

You suck.

I hope you get knocked out.

I just woke up this morning to find out that my fight could be cancelled.

The people organizing the event suddenly have a problem with the lack of amateur experience between myself and my opponent.

Has anything like this ever happened to anyone here?
