Obviously the question is why?
Our goal is to learn more about how TRS recruits their video help and creates their advertising. To do this we need to interest them in a guy who has a new angle on teaching the deadly.
After a conversation with both Andy and KC we decided that a person with Northern Ireland law enforcement background would be the most promising pitch. French Foreign Legion would have been better but we don’t have anyone trustworthy with the French language skills to carry it off.
You were all recruited for various reasons. I’ll be worrying about the legal end of things and serving as liasion with Phrost.
Andy will be our “talent” the guy who claims to have been RUC which has since been disbanded and reformed. He also has good Judo and Boxing skills which we can use on tape.
KC was formally in British customs and will be our document guy.
Das Moose is in Belfast and can help us create the local color to go into Andy’s pitch. We are going to need to create a whole background for this guy so that Andy almost has a script to work from.
Next point, we need to decide how old the character Andy will play is. He has to be old enough to have fought the IRA during the troubles. if he joined the police at age 18 he could be 38 or 39 now. Unless he got out for medical reasons. He’s over here because he pissed off the wrong people, but he’s receiving some sort of severance pay which could be threatened if he doesn’t submit their PR for review to Whitehall because of the Official Secrets Act. Should we use Andy’s real name?
He was based in Grosvenor Road Police Station (details on http://www.psni.police.uk/dcu_west_b…_home_page.htm) which is extremely close to the interface area between the Falls (predominately republican) and Shankill (predominantely loyalist) Roads, riot police were called in from all police stations in belfast and sometimes even outside to deal with massive riots in this area, being based in grosvenor station would have meant he was even closer to the interface area and possibly gives you scope to claim he was part of an elite unit (You could mention the B-specials, a notorious almost out of control unit of part-time extremely loyalist RUC officers: see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/B-Specials)

If you want some details, mention the massive steel doors it has for protection, and you could also tell the anecdote that the doors now have sensors to prevent them closing if someone is standing in between, after someone was crushed to death by the doors.

We are going to need fake photocopies of various documents for Andy. Obviously we’re not going to forge a real brit passport but a fake page or two as part of our contact information would be key.

A fake page out of a Brit passport, Andy is going to need to come up with a passport photo that make him look older.
A fake discharge paper from the RUC, photoshop their old seal onto something that looks like military paperwork.
I would like to avoid doing a fake copy of a green card or anything of that ilk, Perhaps Andy could be here illegally? Or is out of status and doesn’t want to provide evidence of such.
Harsh white light from the top will add ten years to me, plus I can dehydrate a little for the photo to make the skin look older. A little shadow for the eyes and squint to make wrinkles should get me close enough.
We also need to work out some technical stuff for what I will be doing. It needs to be believable in principal but laughable in application (a la “Filthy Jailhouse fighting”).

I did talk to a friend on mine who owns probably every book about the british SAS ever put out and he said that the elite recon unit in NI, was called company 14, it might be worth cosidering. They did surveillance work.

Are they going to check? I can’t really see any advantages to using his real name, unless you want to prove who he is by showing a US driver’s license or similar.

Dan Webre claimed to have proved his past with 3rd party documents - I suggest we follow his lead, TRS obviously doesn’t check properly.

Let me write up a back story request shortly, but the first thing you could do is find out if there any any army surplus stores in Belfast that might have a RUC jacket and hat. If they do, find out how they take payment from overseas. Tell them its an American policemen collector friend.
