On Tuesday night in Acailandia, Western Brazil, strawweight women’s MMA fighter Monique Bastos was attacked in the street on her way to jiu-jitsu class. One of the men, Wesley Sousa de Araujo, was left crying on the floor when he attempted to steal Bastos’s phone.
He keeps screaming for Jesus to save him. Poor baby.

Hearing him scream for what I assume is help is hilarious. Good for her.
Those may have been screams of pleasure lol. Amazingly enough, she missed all of the broken glass, lava and needles and none of the bystanders kicked her in the head while she was on the ground.
none of the bystanders kicked her in the head while she was on the ground.
Quite the opposite, according to what I’ve read elsewhere she was protecting him from the crowd who would have happily kicked the crap out of the would-be thief.
I awkwardly thought this was funny then felt a little bad for laughing.
He’s freaking out because he probably doesn’t know what kind of hold he’s in and he’s not used to that level of discomfort
Or he’s freaking out about being arrested.
Hmm…
The latter. In other forums discussing this video, Brazilians have said that thieves are treated almost as harshly as murderers by the Brazilian system.
