"The Protector" movie

did you guys watch this movie? Its really lame. They made muay thai look like wushu, and the fighting was less realistic than a jackie chan movie. I still cant belive the main character, (whatever his name is) uses muay thai. And what are the fights about? ELEPHANTS! Who gives a flying f*** about elephants! Well whatever, any thoughts on this movie?

Boy what a shitty topic you’ve posted. For shame.

I don’t know. These dumbfuck threads are always the ones i get the most enjoyment out of. When i read shit like this i start to drool and sit back to wait for the shitstorm.

youre a fucking moron. hello, its a chop socky kung fu flick with muay thai flavouring. if you dont like this sort of movie then why the fuck are you complaining about? as far as beat em up movies go its pretty goddamn sweet- lots of boss fights, badass acrobatics, some cool weapon shit, and, unlike most chinese ones where the humour is about as clever as your mother after a hard crack smoking session, some bits made me LOLIRL.

and what do you mean who gives a fuck about elephants, the start of this movie is sadder than bambi and the lion king and those were pretty damn sad.

Hey kid… how did you get a forum leader tag? Is it a plus to be leader of the forum designed to focus on bullshit?

Because I moderate the strikeistan forum and I actually make a fair bit of constructive posts there, believe it or not. Me and Kat have plans for the near future to make the forum less dead, but we haven’t gotten around to them as of yet since we’ve been taking a break from training after having fought two consecutive weeks.

Am I the only one that thought this movie was crap compared to Ong Bak?

Or laughed his ass off when Jackie Chan made a cameo?

This movie sucked.

John Cusack was a kickboxer in “Say Anything” if you want a realistic movie that includes martial arts.

I thought The Protector sucked pretty hard, but it’s still not a topic worth discussing here. Or really anywhere for that matter.

This says basically all I was gonna say about it.

I saw the original movie, and was apalled by the theatrical cut.

Why the fuck is this in YMAS? We only have Trollshido, LLL and the entirety of Sociocide for shit like this. Grow up, realise it’s a fucking film and post in something approaching the right forum.

On second thought, continue to post here, I don’t want to deal with you on Sociocide.

Father dog, where did you get your avatar?

Shut the fuck up already!!! You want to discuss that type of topic, go to imdb.com. What the fuck are you doing here discussing about movies?

LOL. “Shut the fuck up ALREADY”? That was my first post in the thread (I wasn’t even the person who started the thread).

Nice avatar by the way.

Holy shit! So sorry about the misguided nuke dude. It was 8:27 AM when I posted that, and I usually tend to lash at people and things so early in the morning. Blame it on a lack of coffee :tongue6:

Speaking if fight movies has anyone seen Undisputed 2 (I’ve yet to find Undisputed 1…) It’s an XMA + MT + BOXING + Grappling + Prison combat movie. The Russian Prison fighting champion throws 720 butterfly kicks in with his leg kicks and the hero prison fighting guy is a Mike Tysonesque former boxing champ that gets some in prison grappling training from a guy in a wheelchair. I found the movie highly entertaining and hilarious. 4/5 stars.

Kintanon

Never saw but heard about it form a guy at my gym. If the fight scenes are good I’m in. Think they got it at WalmarT?

I downloaded it because I couldn’t find it to buy…

my first reaction to this movie was “why the hell did i waste money to watch this piece of crap”; then i remembered why … i was drunk off my ass and i like popcorn kungfu movies. Waz it me or did Tony Jaa really like doing that flying knee to the chest move. The best one he did was when he jumped down the stairs into those group of guys.

Anouther thing i liked about it is that he does all his own stunts and doesnt do wire work in his movies. Brings alittle more back to the screen for the stuntman.

Anyone see the special features? I didn’t know that M.T. had forms.
