in our area we have seen in some occasions street mugs by drug-addicts who threaten the victim with a syringe (supposedly infected with aids virus), local dojos have come up with their own theories on how to respond…the Israelis of the Krav Maga system pretend to give the money and then they attack; a local ninjutsu dojo tells you to attack him when he turn around to escape…i guess it really depends on the single situation.
In my opinion a syringe is more dangerous than a knife, for two reasons: 1- if you get cut with a knife, unless it’s in a vital point, you can recover, while with an infected syringe, if you are touched you are in trouble.
2- a syringe can also spray (if it has some remaining of blood in it).
What do you all think?
I think that if you’re so scared of being stuck with an infected needle, you should do some actual research on the probability of being infected after a single accidental needle stick. Then maybe you can realize that having a knife jammed into you is actually the bigger immediate danger.

Taijutsu, the unarmed fighting art of the Ninja, is just part of the whole set of techniques, skills and philosophies of any Ninjitsu style. Historically, a Ninja agent would only use hand-to-hand as a last resort, and only if zhe couldn’t reach or improvise a weapon, and certainly not against the Samurai, who specialised in close-quarter combat. If we’re allowing the complete set of traditional ninja skills, we’re allowing archery, poison, metsubishi, darts, housebreaking, ambush, attacking while you’re asleep, psychological warfare, arson, fighting on horseback, swords, spears, chains, blackmail, extortion, kidnapping, and black-powder hand cannon. Put THAT in your guard and armbar it, lol! As far a Taijutsu goes, most styles I’ve seen mix kung fu/dim mak striking with grappling from old-school jujitsu, iffy in a ring fight against a specialist art like BJJ, but it’s always an interpretive art form, a smart fighter would adapt to the situation and train for sportfighting to prepare for the match. Would you bet on a BJJ man in a boxing match, against a boxer, using only the allowable hand strikes from BJJ? Taijutsu was designed for the battlefield and not the ring, you can see this reflected in the sword techniques, most use deep stances totally unlike the more upright posture and gliding footwork of sport kendo.

My theory about Lord Morgue
I have a theory about Lord Morgue on Ashida Kim’s forum. Anyone remember him? He seemed to be a pretty smart guy but he could never be persuaded to leave Ashida Kim and shun him like the ridiculous fraud that he is.
Based on the following post, I have a theory about that:
I’ve been shot at, by something, I think someone was firing throwdowns from a wrist rocket from the graveyard, and someone took a potshot at my father back in Darwin with an air rifle, it went right through the folded newspaper he was carrying. LM could have been a pretty smart kid at school who was so disliked that the other kids threw rocks at him. If they threw rocks at him and scarred him then perhaps he felt resistant towards bullshido.net because of how bullshido.net represents a large crowd of people mocking Ashida Kim. Perhaps as a bullied youth he felt like Ashida Kim was getting the same treatment as him and thus continued to identify more with AK than with bullshido.net.
I was just searchin around on the net one day when i found a ‘real life analysis or Rurouni Kenshin sword techniques’ I read through them and realized that the guy had a point when most of the techniques can have real life applications. That got me to wonderin if there were other animes where inhuman techniques like kamehameha or others could be used in real life. I already talked with a guy that think the thousand years of pain from Naruto could be used as a knife/kunai attack to the spine. What you guys think? Any anime techniques you’ve seen that can have real life applications? Minus the energy explosion and huge destructive stuff lol!! I know the motions for the kamehameha can be used as an open palmed thrust to an opponents chest or back and is pretty effective if done right and with the proper thrust.

I’m a martial artist that loves anime, don’t know if anyone else is or not lol, but a few of my friends and I decided to learn a fighting style close to that of an anime character’s. We drew from hats and i had the unfortunate luck to draw Hyuuga Neji from Naruto. This sucks because my personal fighting style is more like that of Naruto himself, so heres the gist of the reason i’m askin for help. Anyone know any open palmed fighting styles or have a pdf for one? I know the actual techniques from the show aren’t possible so don’t call me a fantasizer lol, but somethin extremely close to it would be wonderful so any help will be greatly appreciated.

My guess about LM is that he’s a habitual/pathological liar, or OCD liar. He can’t stop himelf from lying so he aligns himself with someone who uses the same kind of lies in the hopes of sheltering himself from ridicule or finding a place where he won’t be made fun of.
Have you ever called a pathological liar out on a lie exaggeration; I mean, not on the internet? It gets under their skin in a huge way, much more so than questioning the opinions of someone who actually believes what they are saying. Usually they stay around people who are misfits and/or pathological liars themself; people who won’t make fun of them or who aren’t prone to disagreeing, ie passive people. They don’t do it because those people believe them all the time, they do it because they feel better about lying and don’t have to feel ashamed or embarrassed when they lie and to cut down on the possibility that someone will call them on the lie. Everyone in their little circle just nods and makes small talk or bullshits themself. Not all frauds are just doing it for the money, some of them just can’t help but lie… it’s fucking pathetic, but they aren’t exactly pillars of personal fortitude now are they?
OR… LM is just a wingnut who believes crazy shit and is smart enough to understand what he reads but doesn’t have the judgement/experience/objectivity to determine when something just isn’t logical or plausible. That’s my take on the matter.
LM is a nerd. Everybody in real life kicks his ass, and Ashida is the nice, fatherly figure to boost his confidence.
Unfortunately, while he remains bound to this fantasy mindset he’ll never break the trend, as there’s no way of disproving online fantasy without requiring a fundamental shift in the way he looks at life. Abandon the fantasy, abandon all hope.

I knew a guy like that once. Called him on a few of his lies but he’d just bounce back with another lie to cover up the first lie he got called on. Eventually everyone he knew got sick of his bullshit and stopped hanging out with him.
