Politicians are notorious for taking advantage of their constituency, much the same way you take advantage of your deformity to gain attention and pity. As for training, when every single club in a city turns away a person noted for having power to weight ratio, mobility etc sufficient for the task, what is the individual left to do?
I’ve already explained, the JJ club won’t have me due to class size and the freestyle class was run by somebody who afterwards interviewed me and said they didn’t have the facilities (although in retrospect freestyle is not what I’m looking for technique wise)
As for training, before I moved I was walking about 6-10 kilometres a day. The roads around here are too dangerous but that’s why I’ll go to my friend’s house to do weights, I think.

I find it interesting that several BS members on that continent have been able to find places to take the martial art of their choice, but you can’t seem to find any place at all.

And no I can’t find any place AT ALL. There are only just over a million people in Brisbane spread over a very wide area. It keeps it a very liveable city, but we seem to be predominated by TKD clubs etc.
