Ronnie Coleman in his prime VS Royce Gracie in a bar fight - who wins?

are you saying this thread will get better replies at martial arts planet?

Kinda asked and answered…

And he submitted the dude with a freaking armbar… I’m sure the guy could curl Pedro Sauer pretty easily.

Yes, that is exactly what I’m saying.

This thread will perform one function well enough though. It will expose some of the BJJ nutriders to the harsh light of day.

I love Royce Gracie and he was so tuff he could beat Captain Planet.

Why does it always have to be a bar fight? I mean I know so many people who just go to bars to have a drink.

Fight Club was just a movie guys.

I’d rather see Pudz vs Coleman.

I’d much prefer to see Coleman vs the Synthol guy (think burst open biceps and oil squirting from gyno free nipples)

Oh yeah, and assuming he avoids a chair to the head, bottle to the neck or multiple attacker stompfest by a gang of nut shrunken bodybuilders (in between patches of lava and AIDS needles) then Royce for choke out or joint lock submission.
The answer is to simply…

…Is that chuck liddel?

Royce by going to Disneyland.
you had a buddy who could out lift ronnie coleman. riiiight…

//youtu.be/fls8Uegb07Y

(200lbs dumbell press for 12 clean reps 5 weeks out from the mr olympia, so very dieted and carb depleted)
Yep he did. You do know Ronnie is not the strongest bodbuilder or powerlifter out there, right. Whit was a powerlifter and one of the strongest people ever knew.

Yeah but will it blend?

I don’t know, but I might pay to see it

that guy isn’t even in the same galaxy as ronnie coleman in his prime

ronnie coleman has 50lbs more muscle, way more strength, he’s black (i mean face it, blacks are more natural and talented fighters) and a cop

Is it Trollshido time yet?

Im calling racist. Also, watch a world strongest man comp. Witness strength, learn the difference between strong and ripped.

Also, id say that professional MMA has done wonders for race relations/ equality in combat sports.

I wish Keinhaar was here.

He loved this shit.

“Also, watch a world strongest man comp. Witness strength, learn the difference between strong and ripped.”

strongman contenders are often powerlifters who spent time specializing in the strongman events. this requires large, strong hands (more so than bodybuilding and powerlifitng) and depending on the contest either more endurance or maximal strength (fat guys win the arnold strongman, conditioned leaner, but weaker guys win the world strongest man)

powerlifters are better at really low reps (1-3) and bodybuilders are better at medium- high reps (8-12), can’t say one is stronger than the other without first defining what strength type you are talking about

"
In 1993, Tom Platz, owner of perhaps the biggest wheels in bodybuilding history, entered into a squatting competition with Fred Hatfield (aka “Dr. Squat”), the first guy to squat 1,000 pounds.

Although Tom’s legs were much bigger than Fred’s, Fred kicked his butt in a one-rep max, hoisting 855 pounds to Tom’s 765 pounds. But when they took some plates off the bar and decreased the weight to 525 pounds for a test of lower-body endurance, Tom dusted Fred, performing 23 reps compared to Fred’s 11.

Bottom line is, bodybuilders seem better at high reps with a smooth cadence, whereas powerlifters seem more adept at low reps performed explosively."

i’ve read very similar explanations before in other sources so i’d say this is pretty much the consensus
