Rabbit Almighty, aka Ultimate Wrabbit Universe Bullshido 3000

Sub, would it be possible to give Rabbit Mod privileges across all threads except the secret moderator only threads

to rename threads,

move posts between threads,

move threads,

ban or unban anyone on the site, including you and Phrost,

not give him PM privacy invasion access,

not give him priv ack to any of the internals of the software,

not give him mod access to the articles, or front page, or Facebook administration,

and give yourself tracking and facilitated roll back ability on any changes he makes

while he has those powers?

And within the limits of the powers described above,

give him final say for 30 days on all mod decisions?

Obviously, you would retain access to the internals, etc for all obvious reasons.

You know, Rabbit Almighty, Super Rabbit, Ultimate Rabbit, Rabbit Unleashed, Rabbit Moderator Above All…

It will take me about a year to get that set up. We’ll set a target release date of 4/1/2020.

Spoilsport.

You realize this is going straight to trollshido, btw.
You realize this is going straight to trollshido, btw.
Should that be regarded as a negative?

Why would it matter whether a thread lived in Trollshido or YMAS?

Particularly a thread that did not neatly fit into any other category.

A thread for pure sniping at other members belongs in Trollshido, and nowhere else. Sorry.

Who here would like to see Rabbit get his run, and chance, at being Super Mod?
A thread for pure sniping at other members belongs in Trollshido, and nowhere else. Sorry.
I was not sniping.

I am very curious to see how the site would run with Rabbit as the super mod.

And, Rabbit has made some complaints about how he has been treated by mods,

and mod decisions,

so I think it would be interesting to give him the chance to have those powers,

so the shoe would be on the other foot.

This is not a snipe, but a legitimate curiosity regarding the social experiment.

Stating that it would be interesting to see how the site would look and run

with Rabbit as the mod, or any other member as a mod, is not a snipe.

I think it’s an interesting idea, but I’m not the kingmaker. Feel free to pitch it to Phrost.

Interestingly,

What I was pointing out with this comment,

Is the perception of stigma surrounding Trollshido, is an arbitrary made up convention.

Unless a thread clearly matches some other forum,

No one should care if their thread is in Trollshido versus YMAS, for the most part.

In fact, Trollshido may offer advantage in some cases.

You might want to seek out some preparation H for that severe case of butthurt you have there, in fact your new post name could be butthurt PHD. In related news NASA is going to release the first live images of docs brain in like half an hour.

And why should suggesting that it would be interesting to give Rabbit a chance to be a mod be an example of “butthurt” of any kind?

Safeguards could be put in place.

Mod access could be for a single forum if people were worried about giving him site wide mod access.

So long as safeguards were put in place, why couldn’t Rabbit be a mod?

Two primary differences:

  1. Trollshido is not generally searchable via Google, et al., by design.
  2. Posts in Trollshido do not increase Post Count.

How about make Rabbit the Mod of trollshido? But change the name so we get rid of the stigma. Rabbitshido.

Yes, but this can be a significant advantage, ie posters are then at liberty to have less filter, which makes for more colorful commentary.

Why should or would anyone care about Post Count, once they have the minimum post count to use the site?

E-penis?

Post Count drives various pieces of site functionality which I’m not going to detail, here.
E-penis?
Or the reverse.

Is high post count a bragging point,

or a sign one is a colossal time waster?

Admittedly, posting is also activity one can do when has to Wait for Godot in line, standing post at work,

or when doing spousal activities like spouse is shopping,

ie you have to come along, but you can still post and read posts while waiting for that activity to end.

But, high post counts should cut both ways regarding what they really mean.

Somebody has a very high post count, you know they wasted a lot of time on this site.

Every post spins an evil electronic prayer wheel that makes the Dark Lords a little closer to breaking free from their ancient prisons?

Every post contributes to entropy. Save the universe: stop wasting electrons.
