These two threads show up in my search for threads with new posts:
https://www.bullshido.net/forums/showthread.php?t=129158&goto=newpost
https://www.bullshido.net/forums/showthread.php?t=129197&goto=newpost
When I click on either link, I get an error message:
AprilRains, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else’s post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.
I’m fairly sure I’ve been able to view these threads in the past. In any case, if I lack permissions, they shouldn’t show up in my search.
Interesting. I can click on the threads themselves and read them, but the “goto=newpost” key-value pair in the url causes a permissions issue.
Each of those threads has a last post by user leahmelda, according to my search page for threads with unread posts, but I do not see such a post on either thread, and reading the thread to the end doesn’t affect the search for threads with unread posts.
Was leahmelda perhaps a spammer, and the posts were removed in some way that is fooling the search?
Spammer, I banned and moved the marketing content to a hidden area.
The posts no longer show up in that search.

Excellent.
