Need some expert eyes

Is anyone able to tell me if this shit looks like nonsense to them?

“Reflexive shooting”?

Shooting a target right next to someone aiming at a target that is right next to you?

Weird foot shifting as if throwing a hook in boxing?

These are just some red flags that jumped out to me, but I’m not even beginning to be an amateur so thought I’d check in here.

Link doesn’t work for me.

lol at Indian military. What did you expect? Fucking bunch of clowns.

I was expecting some video of ninja gunfighting stuff like you see from Magpul Dynamics and whatnot. I think that stuff is a little silly too, but this shit is a different level of retarded.

Here’s the thing about inventive gunfighting methodologies…it’s like pre-MMA martial arts. Everybody can say whatever they want without much challenge because there’s no proving ground. Very few people will ever be in a gunfight. Most people who are will only be in one or two and they will mostly last a matter of seconds. There are no experts. Very few experts, at least in my opinion.

That’s why I believe in focusing on the very basics. Marksmanship fundamentals. Basic fire and maneuver. Violence of action. Cover and concealment. Seeking cover to reload. Shit like that. Sure, it’s fun to play around with tactical reloading and shooting with your non-dominant hand and whatnot. But you really don’t want to play around and try to show off how cool you are in a gunfight.

Sorry about the link, I’m still using the old forum html - Tranquil Suit has already sorted me out. Thanks.

Can anyone make comment on anything specific in those videos, or is it just what Devil has said.

Here’s the deal: competent application of marksmanship fundamentals, competent application of basic fire team/squad/platoon level tactics, and fire superiority are what wins firefights. The best operators in the world would rather rely on that than some hot dog shit.

I think I need more context on what this guy is doing and less repetition of how he’s never sold his “patented” techniques to the west or taken a dime for his time and training. What he is doing looks silly to me, but so does just about any drill if you don’t have context. If I have to go on gut feeling, then I don’t like what I’m seeing.

It looks like crap to me.

This is reflexive shooting. Nothing new. Practice, practice and more practice.

Adding these links for those who may want to check out a now gone master. He was my neighbor a couple of doors down until his death. Aside, he also gave my father a speeding ticket when he was returning home from college one day long ago. RIP Dan. You were an original. Also a strong advocate for the 2nd Amendment and an armed populace.

I can’t get the second embedded vid to open either. What should I word search for? ‘Reflexive shooting’ comes up with all sorts of stuff.

(Damn double post)

video links fixed

Apologies Tranq I meant the original post. I’ve seen the vintage badassery. Bad comms on my part.

See post #3. Actually, the original video has apparently been made private.

That’s what threw me. I didn’t have the privacy details oh well, looks like everyone else has the measure of it anyway. Cheers.

Edit: Semi thread necro but the video now works for some reason and I love this kind of shit.

Aaaand yeah it’s fucking terrible. Everyone has covered what’s wrong with it but even without context I can’t actually imagine what sort of context where this would be of any use.

I never really trust drills where real people are used in the demo. Usually the marksmanship isn’t that difficult and the drill would have been practiced over and over on paper targets before people are used so it’s not that impressive. It’s arguably a confidence test and I get that but ultimately it’s there to impress onlookers.

It’s genuinely impressive when it’s done on serials where the shooter (or shooters) don’t know where the real people are and they haven’t drilled it before but that’s at an entirely different level from this nonsense.
