A11 to kind of answer your post earlier in this thread. I asked a guy in my mma school to throw an elbow at my face and I did oshi taoshi on him which is an aikido move. So it’s grappling kinda.
Hip throws are in both judo and Aikido

Oshi taoshi isn’t a hip throw. I was literally throwing him with the elbow he threw at me. Aikido is a martial art that attacks the elbow, wrist and face.
I think I know what you’re talking about but that isn’t o goshi.
Perhaps he means koshinage?
It has some similarity to sode tsuri komi goshi in Judo.

It wasn’t Aikido that I used. It was o - goshi from judo.
But I’m sure an aikido black belt can pull it off easily.
I’m still surprised bullshido hasn’t torn you a new asshole for claiming being able to beat mma fighters just because you can kick the shit out of taekwondo dorks in your dojang.
As a matter of fact I bet I can beat the average mma fighter too. I’ve never met an aikido guy I couldn’t throw. I can beat everyone in class in randori. And when someone comes to visit our club I can throw them too. I’ve experienced the same thing when I visit other clubs. All of this is true but it’s fucking ridiciculous if I think I can beat a professional mma fighter because of this.
I think it’s a mix of uncertainty whether this is just trolling given the number of cliches being thrown out there and recognition of how pointless engagement is if not.
