My pal's girlfriend is from Bitchistan

Yeah, but let’s face it, among the vast majority of the mid- to end-twentiers,
there is a desire for a certain conformism. Not that I am that nonconformist,

 • in fact, sometimes I am everything but -, but I see that many people, especially those with university education, seem to mistake it for clinging to elitism or developing a distinctive snobism.

In the end, all one can do is shrug and move on. I certainly prefer to have people around me that, while I respect their way of life, give the same respect back to me.

Guys?

You get the girlfriend you’re looking for and/or deserve.

These guys who wind up with controlling bitches want a combo of mother/slave that they can comfortably look down on because said mother/slave is a fucking dumbass loser. She is therefore mentally and socially unchallenging and can be used as the scapegoat for all manner of laziness and passive aggression.

“My GF never lets me party” (Now I don’t have to put on decent clothes and act like a friend)
“My GF wants me to get a new job cause this one isn’t good enough.” (Hey, if I hate the new job I still get the blow job points for being a good little robot and I can blame it all on her!)

They are not looking for anything else. Until they grow up, get divorced from the 250 lbs shrew they impregnated cause they were too dumb and lazy to deal with birth control and then desperately try to find a woman who isn’t like their ex, but now they’re 50, fat, bald, father to some out of control brats and fucked up

Look into that crystal ball and see your future boys.

Hey Mrs Know It All, that’s not my future.

I’ll be bald well before I’m 50…

Damn straight.

Cuts both ways, of course.

It took me a few years of concentrated thought and analysis to figure this one out.

That and a few no-bullshit conversations with female friends.

Oh, here’s a free piece of advice. If you don’t have any female friends, try and make some. And then try not to sleep with them.

Anyway, this statement has so many applications. The key is really just to be as aware as possible of yourself. Almost nothing happens TO you. You’ve got a participatory part to play in nearly every event of your life. To give that up, is to resign yourself to being something less than human.

Don’t do it. Own your bullshit.

wut? Women as friends? Don’t they need a soul for that to work?

Unfortunately for me, that is how about 80% of my relationships began. I’m not handsome or charming enough to pick up girls as “the boyfriend;” rather, I work as an insidious poison, with each dose bringing the mark deeper and deeper into my web-of-luv. It’s unintentional, but it happens.

One day we’ll be doing something, and I’ll be all like, “ur hawt!” Then she’ll be like “why won’t you let me out of the basement?!” Then I’ll say something like, “it puts the lotion on its skin, or else it gets the hose again.” Straight out of romance novel. Or a Thomas Harris novel, I forget.

Back to the OP’s problem: I’d like to point out that social circles are not binding contracts to people. I understand that you don’t want to lose a friend, but if this guy is really changing, then he may emerge from his cocoon (metaphor for the win!) as a non-friend.

If you don’t believe he his really, truly changing, then try schedule things that you know the girlfriend will hate, in the hope that she won’t show up. Examples provided below:

 1. Titty bar
 2. Fighting events–Ammy boxing/kickboxing/whatever
 3. Biker bars
 4. Your place–I’m assuming that if she hates you, she doesn’t want to be surrounded by your things
 5. Counter-religious places–If she’s catholic, find a satanist group that holds regular Black Mass.
 6. Sex shop (though that might be a little wierd to go to with another dude)

Or just do a naked flying armbar.

Yeah, and I’m looking for a guy who knows the difference between macho and being masculine and if you think you had trouble finding a chick you can talk to…

see there i was thinking your problem was cos you look like a bus

…then imagine the difficulty of finding a man who will finish your sentences!
Yeah, and I’m looking for a guy who knows the difference between macho and being masculine and if you think you had trouble finding a chick you can talk to…
Yeah but are you a fittie or a minger, that has a lot to do with how 99% of men will interact with you - as sad as that might be.

OK, I’ll bite. My mom’s from England, so I consider myself bilingual (English and Canadian). But wtf are fitties and mingers?

if shes fit, shes hot. if shes a minger, she isnt.
