I’ve had my MT steel cup for awhile and the cord has about had it. After emailing the manufacturer (and others) I can’t find anyone that has a replacement. I’m thinking about just finding some thick shoelaces. Anyone know where to get replacements outside of just buying another steel cup?

So, I answered my own question (finally). After much prayer and meditation (and lots of internet searching) I stumbled across the string (albeit in the most strange place)…
First, here’s my steel cup:

It turns out that the string that they use for Muay Thai Steel Cups is an oil lamp wick. I just got it and it’s the exact same thing. Who knew?
or just look for hockey laces they tend to be pretty thick
