MMAU want to buy another to have as a booby prize

MMA Universe (http://www.mlsports.co.uk/) have asked me to write a 500 word article on this saga.

They’ve also suggested that they could use another cert as a booby prize for one of their comps. I’m not sure if that’s practical so I thought I’d ask here as if we do do it, it’ll take US assistance (I and MMAU are UK based).

First question, do they have a particular name they wish to be on the certificate? If so, we’re either going to have to see if they are willing to give us his credit card info or easier still we send Ashida a mail order which might be easily done in another person’s name. (you pay for it up front) Does Ashida take money orders? finally what art do they want it in, where do they want it mailed to, and should we buy it from Aikido Chick’s friendship dojo?

actually if you have credit card, you don’t have to be in the US, on the order page you just plug in your address and he’ll send it there, I really don’t think he’ll have any qualms, the only sticky factor is conversion rates

Yeah,
the problems for using it as a prize as I see it:

  1. The winners name has to be known before the order can be placed
  2. If it is ordered from a UK address he may be more suspicious/have delays in shipping
  3. If we describe the style as “MMA” (et al) he will be probably be suspicious

They’ve suggested simply doing an obvious spoof but that’s just less profound and cool.
