Martial Arts Movies on Netflix that you can 'Watch Instantly'

Tokyo Zombie was pretty funny and it was nice to see a good portrayal of BJJ in film, but honestly I was left feeling rather ‘meh.’ I had some good laughs, but the inconsistencies in the behavior of the zombies was pretty annoying. Also, the story was a big clusterfuck. Erika Okuda was a pleasure to watch though.

All in all, it was worth seeing, but it didn’t quite live up to my expectations. I mean, c’mon, JiuJitsu and zombies?!?! I thought this would be my new favorite movie.

It belongs here.

Can you merge both threads here, Aus?

You know what…

If it wasn’t for the other thread I would have never known watching instantly was free and something I could’ve been doing all this time instead of watching stuff I wanted to see broken up into 200 parts on YouTube.

I just watched Ripping Yarns after Judo last night and did a doubletake when I found out that’s where Yoj’s avatar comes from.
Can you merge both threads here, Aus?
I sent a merge request about an hour ago using the “Report Post” function in the YMAS thread… hopefully an unholy union will commence shortly.

If all netflix did was mail you videos, I’d probably still be a redbox man. The unlimited (!) free (!) streaming videos is HUGE. That and netflix has a bigger selection with more bluerays.

Judowned needs a “Movie Reviewer” tag.

Wait, we have those??

I’m gonna have to sign up for Netflix, this is MUCH easier that tracking down copies in Chinatown.

COME to SOCIOCIDE…COME TO SOCIOCIDE!!!

Strikistanian Before: “Holy shit, Tokyo Zombie! I just popped a mega-boner!

Strikistanian After: “Aaaaaand I’m flaccid.”

Haha, I remember watchin Tokyo Zombie a whole ago. It was pretty amusing but it’s no Shaun of the Dead. Have you seen Wild Zero? Pretty entertaining as well.

Has anyone checked out Crows Zero or Crows Zero II?
How about Shamo?

District 13 is available to watch instantly as well. Maybe not technically “martial arts” but it’s close enough.

Ong Bak is currently available.

And so is… OLDBOY

Gurgle. Drool. Eyes roll back in head.

(Also the other 2 movies from that trilogy.)

Personally I liked Lady Vengeance best of the three

Really? I mean, I liked it, but nothing like Oldboy. And, honestly, I haven’t watched the other one yet.

FYI, here’s another for the thread: Ichi, the Killer.

other then the hallways hammer scene, Oldboy fucking skeeved me the fuck out.

After I first saw Oldboy, I almost wrote a review for here that was simply… “Not what I expected.” But it was extremely well done ultra violence. ANd had some great fight scenes. It even had a few funny lines. “Can 15 years of imaginary training be put to use?” lol

Sweet, I have a lot of movies to watch. I’ve been watching Sparticus on netflix, which is pretty goood.

Bloody, naked chicks (and dudes if your into it), and pretty cool fight scenes.

It seems like y’all watch enough media, why the hell aren’t there more reviews in the review forum??
