Man carrying umbrella that looked like sword arrested

RIDGEFIELD – Police from four towns rushed here Monday morning to help local police deal with a report of a man carrying a rifle near a school.

Hours later they found the man – who was carrying an umbrella that looked like a Samurai sword.

Police charged Wilfredo M. Seda, 22, with breach of peace.

He was “wearing all black clothing, a watch cap with a face mask looking like a beard,” Capt. Thomas Comstock said. “Across his back was an umbrella but it had the outward appearance of a Samuri sword.”

The man was reportedly seen with a rifle near the Branchville train station; Branchville Elementary School is near the station, but students were not yet inside the school when the report came in.

Totally not getting it now.

I just found my father’s day gift.

The motherfucking fashion police.

So note to self:
I now have to worry about what color my clothes are when I have anything black and long in my hands.

Why should he be charged with disturbing the peace? The imbeciles who called the police should be charged with making a false report, instead.

There’s a joke, here, waiting to be told.

So he was arrested for carrying an umbrella, that looked like a samurai sword, that was mistaken for a rifle?

Jesus, I hope that guy never drives past a pool hall or he’ll shit bricks.

A guy who works for me has that exact same umbrella! It’s cool as hell looking.

This case is actually old at this point, anyone know if the charges stuck?

I have enough of a reaction to seeing those umbrellas with the fake katana hilts - this would drive me crazy.
