Machida proves Karate doesn't suck

What do you have to say now ? Does Karate still suck ? Ask Machida what he thinks. I thought a Karate stance left you vulnerable to being hit ? I guess that doesn’t matter much when you’re in and out so fast that your opponent can’t touch you. But I think it’s all just a scam. People have been paracticing Karate for a thousand years because it doesn’t work. Right ? I think that Evans was probably paid off to take a fall. Right ?After all, how could Karate possibly beat wrestling and boxing ? Maybe a couple McDojos don’t represent the whole style? Ever think about that? I loved hearing Joe Rogan talking about how untraditional Machida’s fighting style is. Well, guess what, it’s ancient ! That’s about as traditional as it gets. Next time you feel like bad mouthing Karate, remember, someone might shut it for you !

…You somehow think Machida validates your training?

He proves that he’s doing it right, and the vast majority are doing it wrong.

He helps prove the usefulness of Karate, as I have stated. I don’t remember saying anything about myself. Do you ?

My point exactly !

You defeated yourself by saying karate is thousands of years old , now fuck off.

All one example proves is that Machida doesn’t suck. Did Chuck Liddell prove that all Kempo doesn’t suck?

I postulate that you suck at using logic.

Once there are many karateka winning open competition bouts you will be able to logically support your assertion.

Machida only proves that the techniques, training, and principles HE HAS LEARNED can be incorporated and applied successfully. If Karate practitioners regardless of where they trained in all over were winning in mma THAT would prove Karate as a whole is effective.

Edit: Damnit Jnp beat me to it. PPS: This is precisely why I kinda didn’t want Machida to win.

Give it time…I know you can feel it coming. Just admit it to yourself.

Obvious troll is obvious.

Karate is back!

Maybe another wall of text filled with incorrect information will bring people over to your side…go give it a shot.

Kobra Kai bitch!

Actually, the scarcity of Shotokan practitioners competing in MMA, let alone at the highest levels, let alone again with any measure of success, let alone yet again winning championships or being undefeated, all against the huge number of Shotokan practitioners worldwide should tell you something about how much karate does or does not suck.

Karate is awesome…as long as you have a black belt in brazilian JJ to back it up…

What a great knockout.

Karate and Jiu Jitsu, together, make for a great style

sigh

It was just a matter of time before they started coming out of the woodwork. Now we will have dozens of threads of the same theme:

“MACHIDA RULZ, KROTTY IZ THE SHIIIT, FUK MMA’RZ,!!! WHUT?”

You heard it here first folks.

I think a better thread title would have been, “Machida Proves that Karate doesn’t have to Suck!” His ability to effectively use Karate does not validate your own training and abilities.

Let’s take a count of how many successful Karateka are in the UFC and doing well. Well there’s Machida and then there’s umm, uhh well Machida. One fighter being successful does not make up for the other 99% of the Karatekas out there who don’t train properly and pretty much suck balls.

By saying that all Karate is awesome because Machida is awesome and he practices Karate, would be like me saying that all Karateka are douchebags based solely on your above post.

Furthermore Karate is at most 600-700 years old not thousands. I could be mistaken since I’m not an expert on Karate history but I am sure that neither are you.

Overall I rate your post a Fail++

It will suck for the internet. Here’s the good news: Less competent competition for those of us who actually train.
