Kindness is a virtue.
Fairness is a virtue.
Honesty is a virtue.
Loyalty is what is often invoked, cultishly, to try and persuade people why they should betray the virtues of fairness, kindness, and honesty.
Loyalty, except loyalty to fairness, honesty, and kindness, is not a virtue, but an anti-virtue, and is the demon, and fallen angel invoked, to justify the corruption of real virtue.
