Hey everyone. Not new to the site, but haven’t been here in years. Anyway, I’m looking for a looser fit rashguard. I’m a bigger guy, about 6’1 225 pounds. I have a broad back and shoulders, but a belly as well, and the super tight rashguards aren’t comfortable and make me feel like the Michelin Man. I sweat worse than a whore in church, so I hate wearing any type of cotton t shirt or anything that doesn’t wick sweat away.
Are there any rashguards/performance shirts out there like this? I still want a snug fit obviously, but something with not so much compression as a traditional rashguard. Looking for a long sleeves model for the record. All I’ve been able to find through google are loose rashguards designed for swimming/surfing, and most BJJ/MMA stores I checked only have traditional tight rashguards. I understand the point of rashguards are to be very tight, but I figured I’d post here anyway and see if someone has any advice.
There’s no reason you can’t wear a swimming/surfing rashie. It won’t say TapOut or anything like that.

I only ever used surfing rashguards for the longest time. One, because I surf and have a shit ton of them. Two because when I started training, no one really sold any that were just for BJJ. The first one I ever bought that was for BJJ was the Rupture one that they made and partnered with Bullshido for. Like 8 years ago or something. I still have it but it has holes in it. I bought one more Rupture one after that and then just started using under armor ones. They work good.
Oh and to the OP, I feel you, I’m 6ft and 245lbs.
Fellow big guy here. 6’0" 240lb with a belly. I buy from elitesports.com usually. I have a couple others but they’re usually tighter. The ones I get from ES aren’t too tight so they’re more comfortable on my body. I originally bought a Venom rash guard and as nice as it was it just wasn’t for a bigger dude unless you’re really muscular.
I just rock t-shirts or if I need the wicking t-shirts that wick like the 32 degree cool ones
