That whole people falling limp to the ground where they don’t protect their head is a BIG issue in a fight. Especially a fight where the ground doesn’t have any give.
Its actually one of the reasons that “pulling guard” in a street fight isn’t as silly as it sounds if you think that the other guy has a serious punchers chance, and you feel that you can’t safely engage in stand up grappling for what ever reason.
I am not suggesting its the best tactic but its a tactic people should have in their back pocket for situations where you feel you might get tossed on your head or knocked out cold.

There’s a documentary that goes through three cases of someone being killed due to strikes under various circumstances. I enjoyed it.

For me it really drove home the importance of inciting circumstances and behavior immediately before and after the physical confrontation. I won’t give spoilers, but being seen as trying to avoid or stop the confrontation are relevant to the perceived degree of culpability.

Appears it is free on YouTube for anyone interested.

Maybe don’t punch people?

For what its worth I still feel that the Pin, is the greatest tool in the tool bag for dealing with a ton of violent scenarios.
