Judo champ jailed in train station beating
Um. no.

People never change. Once you hit about 14, your personality and who you are is set for life. The only different after that is your ability to control your shitty impulses and be a functioning member of society.

Anybody who thinks that people can change is ignorant.
Rationalizing much?

OT:

Judo guy is innocent until proven guilty.

Judo guy is an insecure ogre who felt like bullying a smaller man because he could get away with it.
I am willing to bet if it was someone of comparable size, he never would have acted like that.
Fucking jerk.

Actually, anyone who is unwilling to change their opinions/preconceived notions is the one who is truly ignorant.
Sound like anyone you know?

Who said opinions?

I’m talking about people’s nature here. Who you are, not what you think about caramel macchiatos.

After about the age of 14, you just begin a long process of learning to not be so impulsive and covering all of your shortcomings rather than dealing with them. Anybody who thinks otherwise is retarded. Nobody changes. If you’re an ignorant lazy ass who couldn’t chain together a long enough sentence to save your life, you’re not going to all of a sudden become a savant. You’ll just learn to keep quiet hoping nobody notices that you don’t actually have anything to say.

If you’re secure with yourself and intelligent, you’re not going to become some blubbering moron over the course of your life barring any sort of disease or stroke or something. But there’s no disease that makes you more awesome.

I don’t see how anybody could even argue this point.

It depends on what you mean by “change.” There’s lots of stories of people who educate and improve themselves well into adulthood. They won’t necessarily become geniuses all of a sudden, nor will they instantly become saints. But at least some people end up giving up bad habits, becoming more considerate human beings, or turning over a new leaf.

What part of what I’m saying don’t you people get? Their nature will never change.

Sure they can learn some stuff or decide they don’t want to be drunken whores anymore. But at heart, they’re still weak and stupid. They will just be better at avoiding situations where they can let that part of them loose.

That’s why in Alcoholics Anonymous people aren’t cured, they’re just coping. People don’t change. They just learn to moderate.

Does anyone here know this guy or even know of him? The opinions given with such conviction with no facts are absolutely amazing.

You mean like this opinion: It wouldn’t make any sense for a nationally ranked competitor to randomly beat someone up now would it?

That was you, remember?

Seriously, this guy’s asshole doesn’t taste THAT good, I’m sure. If more info comes out, more info will come out. Until then, try to find something else to do with your tongue.

Spoken like a dysfunctional teenager. Somebody give this kid a hug.

Glad to see that Psychology degree paying off. Oh, wait, you don’t have one of those do you? I guess that makes you totally full of shit.

Btw, people can, have and do change. Read up about fluid versus crystalline intelligence someday. It is difficult, and probably moreso as you get older. Weak and stupid does not have to be your lot in life, Sirc. Start now, and you might actually amount to something useful someday. It’s just hard, so you probably are already out.

Actually Rivington, i’m not sure what an good asshole tastes like, but I’ll defer to your expertise if I get any questions about what an asshole taste like…*

And the questions still remains…does it make sense? But you’re right…more information will come out.

+rep attempted and failed for your scientific efforts:

I’m so glad that judo is merely a method of hurting people better, and has no other components. I’ll be sure to tell my instructor to cut out all that extraneous other shit.

Yes, a martial art has to involve superior methods of fighting in order to qualify as a martial art. No, that does not mean it can’t instill values along the way. No, that doesn’t mean that national judo champions are paragons of virtue.

Really?

Is that it?

You and Sirc should hold hands or something.

I wish that I had you asshole’s sense of humanitarianism.

I just wish you had some sense.

Stop talking out of yours and you might find some.

The fact of the matter is that when you give the gift of Judo, it is often recieved without the joy in which it was given. Total misunderstanding most likely, except for the cell phone part. A decent throw would be worth a cell phone and a loaded wallet.
