Always terrible when someone so young dies. Thoughts go out to his friends, family and team mates.

Anyone know cause of death? All reports I read either don’t mention it at all, or simply state “undisclosed”.
My sentiments echo OP. I hated reading about it.
Stumbled on news of this today, and checked here to see if anyone had a thread going.
Given the mention of depression, maybe suicide.
It’s eerie and disturbing you suggest that, because that is the direction my mind kept wandering, based on the context and vibe of the articles I was able to find.
But…nature (including the human mind) abhors a vacuum, and I keep telling myself that is just my mind leaping a chasm of logic in an attempt to fill a void.

Well, I think it’s pretty obvious what happened, and it’s very, very sad for his family and friends.
First specific mention I saw of depression is your post. I definitely got that vibe from the article posted on judoinside.com, so perhaps it’s more obvious than I’m willing to consciously admit.
Sad, indeed. I’m always disheartened when the world loses a young person.
I’m not offering anything original at this point, so I guess I will go back to lurking.
