  • A full contact international wing chun meet and greet. Chunners fighting under sanda rules, chunners fighting under chunning rules (??), chunners chunning by themselves on stage… Although I didn’t spot a lot of chun techniques in the live matches, that may just be my lack of experience.

Comment win "I love how some people here say this is not "real Wing Chun" when Ip Chun(Ip Man’s son) is here as a judge. For all the youtube Wing Chun warriors out there, please tell this to Ip Chun(probably the last living authentic grandmaster of wing chun, other being Ip Man, WSL, William Cheung) and show him along with this entire competition what “real” wing chun is. Typing your dream and theory that has never been proven, behind your computer of what “real” wing chun is won’t really validate Wing Chun.

gawd. those guys in sanda would do a lot better if they had a proper guard. dunno if that also means if they stopped trying to chun

I’m not sure why you think Ip Chun is the “last living authentic grandmaster…” Ip Man has much better 1st generation students out there such as Duncan Leung. William Cheung and Ip Chun can’t touch Duncan.

Generally speaking (of the video)…it’s a nice start.

But…until Wing Chun people start fighting people other than themselves…it’s going to be hard to take them seriously.

Also…I’ve seen Dog Brother Gatherings with less protection that these guys were wearing.

The chunners are fighting sanda practitioners in some of those fights, so they’re at least trying that.

Also, I don’t doubt you HAVE seen Dog Brother gatherings with less protection that that.
