IMPORTANT: Site issues

We’re messing around right now trying to solve for this.

Don’t expect the site up or for long, at this point.

But, I don’t want to close off the forums etc. because I would like to force this error, again, so we can trap it in different ways.

Is there anything you’d like us to do to improve the testing? Image links, especially trying shitposts?

Just be yourselves. Try not to rage too hard if we crash again.

Have you considered banning Wabbit again? That might fix things.

It was highly coincidental that the day he came off temp-ban we crashed multiple times. There are banal forces at work, here. Also, I’m not sure that he either has the chops, or has the balls to actually take us down. This is an internal network issue, from everything I’m seeing (and, yes, Phrost and I are talking with the host, real-time).

I wasn’t thinking he hacked the site. That’s one thing I’m sure he wouldn’t do, if only because he can’t. I was thinking the site itself got sick of him.

…well, no, but it was worth a try.

I got a new 503 around 1245 ET.

Bwahaha

I am not technically savvy but is there a way to detect a denial of service attack? Because whatever it is, it looks a lot like one from my limited knowledge.

Dung, by any chance, have you been providing your product to either the site itself, or the people that run the site?

Maybe the site just decided not to get out of bed, eat cheetos, and watch TV all day.

There was an internal network issue at the colo which caused the iscsi streams for disk to not be available. I guess you could semantically call that a denial of service, but like I said - banal, no outside hackers trying to kill the site. This appears to have been resolved. We’re still working on the 503 stuff. Carry on.

C’mon, you’re just covering for the site’s electronic habits.

The site just woke up and said:

All the cool Artificial Intelligences are doing it.

PS - Some time ago, BS.net became self aware and began controlling Sub, rather than the reverse.

Glorious performance by Leonard Nimoy and the first Bruno Mars song that I’ve ever heard. I’m sure I’ve heard others before but if you asked me to name one or describe what Mr Mars looks like, I wouldn’t be able to do it. He’s no Harry Connick, Jr but it was OK.

I have no idea what you just said.

Same. But it looked cool.

You see, boys, when a man and a woman are in love… the long rod goes into the correct slot, and transmits information.

But, if the slot isn’t there, the information just sorta stays on the rod, and then the left hand reaches for a Kleenex… that was our situation, yesterday.

So you’re saying that Bullshido.net is a chronic masturbator.

Well, you’ve given me a lot to think about today while I’m hustling.

No. Wait.

I didn’t get that backwards, did I?

Are we the chronic masturbators?

And if so, that means the site is just a dirty tease?

Ok, thanks. I’ll clean up my screen too because you spooged that shit all over the place. But glad you got her to roll back over. Did she have a head ache or something?

I think the site should be turned off for a week.

That’ll teach you ungrateful hooligans to appreciate it more.
