The current senior Professor of the American Judo & Jujitsu Association Tom Ball Judan was one of three conspirators who sometime in the 1980’s forged a Kaidensho certificate of mastery that was issued by the founder of Danzan Ryu Jujitsu Professor Henry Seishiro Okazaki.
Ball and the two known conspirators forged this so it would show their Professor Bud Estes had complete knowledge of the Danzan Ryu system when in fact Professor Estes was only awarded Sandan rank by the founder Okazaki. The reason for this forgery it is speculated is it would place the AJJF with seniority of the other Danzan Ryu Orginazations who’s instructors or founding members had legitimate Kaidensho Certificates issued in 1948.
A ethics complaint was filed in 2010 against Professor Ball by a senior Black belt and 40 year member of the AJJF who will be refered to as “The Defender of the Ryu” he conducted a exhaustive investigation and wrote a report titled The Estes Kaidensho Certificate The Untold Story.
A meeting was held to address the complaint on 8-8-10 by four senior Professors of the AJJF. The Professors include at least one who had some knowledge of this forgery in the 1980’s as well as Professor Ball so the panel of Professors can not be considered unbiased. The results of the meeting said evidence was based on here say even though the evidence was based on admitted confessions of one of the conspirators with supporting evidence. “The Defender of the Ryu” is a thirty year veteran of law enforcement. His evidence would have met California Grand Jury requirements for indictment.
No Professor involved denied the Kaidensho was forged. Professor Ball admitted to being part of the conspiracy. The rest of his answers were " I do not remember" or some variation of that. The AJJF Professors involved rationalized their doing nothing by stating it did no harm to any outside of the Danzan Ryu. Professor Ball is still the Ranking Professor of the AJJF. An effort was made to force The Defender of the Ryu out of the AJJF. I wish you the Bullshido members to tell the AJJF if they are right such deceitful slimy behavior by the top Professor does no harm to the Jujitsu community and the martial arts community as a whole.
You also can e-mail the Board of Professors and express your opinion at ProfRebmann@ajjf.org, Profcarr@charter.net, and tjenkins@saber.com and or e-mail Professor Ball and urge him to resign at ProfBall@ajjf.org.

Danzan ryu is one of the parent arts of the brutal style of Kajukenbo. This form claims to represent South Pacific islands styles, yet does not list Danzan Ryu the Chinese kanja of which means Hawaiian Islands thus Danzan Ryu is the Hawaiian Islands style of Jujitsu.
Not much positive is said of this styles fighting ability today because the current Professors of the largest group have removed fighting from the curriculum. A small group of practice-rs are trying to remove them. (Please see my other thread )
In the 1960’s and 70’s Danzan Ryu Professors Wally Jay and John Cahill produced some of the top Judo players in the USA. The founder of Danzan Ryu was Henry Seishiro Okazaki who earned a teaching certificate in Yoshin Ryu Jujitsu on the island of Helo Hawaii. He proved his ability as a fighter in 1922 by facing top ten heavyweight boxer Carl “KO” Morris 6ft 4in 235 who fought a future heavyweight Champion 6ft 5in 265lb Jess Willard to a no decision draw in 1915. And if that’s not good enough to prove this boxers ability Morris fought Jack Dempsy three times. How many UFC fighters can say they beat a boxer with a weight of 180 who fought two future heavyweight Champions of the world? None!
These fights are documented in Jujitsu vs. Wrestling & Boxing by Charles C. Goodin.
Morris boxing record is available online at cyberboxingzone.com. Okazaki in 1924 went to Tokyo and was awarded a nidan from Kano. In 1929 he created Danzan Ryu. Give him and his style a place on the forum because there would be no Kajukenbo if not for Danzan Ryu!

Kajukenbo may know Danzan Ryu as Kodenkan Jujitsu. Kodenkan was the name of Professor Okazakis Dojo not the style of Jujitsu. Kodenkan can be defined as Ancient Tradition School. Professor Joe Holck one of the founders of Kajukenbo was awarded his Kaidensho and Mokuroku Mastery and teaching Certificate by Professor Okazaki in 1949. In 1962 Professor Holck moved to Arizona to teach Danzan Ryu. Please add Danzan Ryu to this forum!

The Punch that wins titles.

What one punch that anyone can learn does the most damage and has the greatest success against the heavy hitters? The jab. What makes this punch the most dangerous is the damage it does to the eye and orbital bones. The great boxers with the best jabs added thumbs and in less you knew what to look for you would not notice because they always held their fists in the same way. Sam Langford the great black boxer of the teens died blind from jabs. The great middle weight champ Harry Greb died after surgery on his eyes because the man that took his title Tiger Flowers beat Greb by out thumbing him, but after Greb died Flowers had to go under the knife to fix the damage done by Grebs thumbing jab. He also died! Tommy Hearns jab-thumbed Leonard and he had to have surgery. The list goes on to Shane Carwin. The jab sets up everything.

You’re a fucking ignorant tool. You post in that forum again and I’ll ban you fucking ass.

Thanks for the constructive criticism. I guess I will post in another forum and keep guessing as to what forum is appropriate. I am sure you will correct me or ban me witch ever comes first. A tool needs someone to use it. I am a loose cannon or pop gun firing on it’s own.

Shithead, he was in a fucking car accident which was what prompted the surgery for the removal of a bone fracture from his nose.

If you are going to claim something, at least get it quasi-correct.

Tommy Hearns jab-thumbed Leonard and he had to have surgery.

and Hearns lost the fight.

In newbietown there are some important ones. If you’re going to off as a know it all, and with all due respect you seemed quite informed, try coming off as a classy one instead of a elitist snob. Find out where to post the thoughts before you do. In other words engage your brain for other things instead of regurgitation.

I mean no offense. I just have to learn the ropes just slap me down if I make a mistake. I will not make it a second time all though I may make new ones. I did not go to the history books to re-check Greb just did it from memory. As to the know it all this is not my intention I was trying to establish credibility in this forum. That will take time. I will take your advise!

Concerning Harry Greb and his eye site operation that killed him only wikipi states he had surgery due to auto accident cyberboxingzone.com does not nor do any of the old boxing books I own.
