I don’t take Kyokushin, but I would focus on what you would get out of training, SELF-DEFENSE, rather than “rank”. Just throwing my opinion on martial arts in general out there…

I don’t know about, nor have I ever taken, Kyokushin karate, but I would focus on what you hope to get out of training, SELF-DEFENSE, and not “rank”. (Just throwing my opinion on martial arts in general out there.)
