I am selling off "Big Daddy"- Ruger Super Redhawk in .454 Casull W/Scope

That’s right. I am selling my lovely big-game pistol.

CT won’t let me hunt with it, and I just can’t justify keeping it, especially when I want to buy a new 9mm pistol…maybe a CZ-75 or something…

Anyway, this is Big Daddy: A Ruger SUper Redhawk DA/SA revovler in .454 Casull (Will also shoot 45LC). Why own one of these? Because you never know when you will need to shoot down an elephant or a low-flying airplane.

Seriously, this pistol will kill any animal on the planet. Elephants and Rhino might take 2 or three shots, but everything else should go down with one. It has a long-eye-relief 2X scope with an illuminated reticle. It also comes with a Hogue Monogrip. Trust me…you want the recoil relief with this thing.

GunBroker has these things going for 700-800 bucks without the scope. For Bullies, I will part with it for 650 bucks with the scope. You gotta pay the shipping and FFL stuff though.

This gun has maybe 250 rounds through it, total. I have the manual and original hardcase as well.

Perspective:

a 400-grain .454 delivers jsut under 2000 foot-lbs of energy.

.44 magnum: 742
.357 magnum: 550
.45 ACP: 390

30-06: 2900
223. Remington (5.56 NATO): 1282

This thing is a monster.:sniperdan

So… they built a rifle and shaped it like a handgun?

Essentially. Dick Casull developed it as a back-up gun for big/dangerous game hunting in Africa.

Damnit. I’d buy this in an instant if I had the cash.

That is quite a gun. Slightly off-topic, Scrapper is that a Python in your profile pic?

It is.

I don’t own one, but maybe someday.

Please buy the Casull, Mrs. Scrapper needs a new gun.

What is the barrel length? Can you provide a model number for quick specs retrieval?

Barrell is 7.5"

I am not at home so model # will have to wait a few days.

It is a fairly standard hunting pistol ,though, so specs for it should be easy to find.
