Hickok45 steps back from the NRA.

Hickok45 is no longer officially supporting the NRA.

Wayne LaPierre and half the executive board need to resign.

Their “leadership” is driving away and alienating rank and file members.

I will probably despise the jubilation among those who never supported gun rights, but he’s right to do this.

So I’ve not followed closely what all is going on. I know there has been some discontent regarding WLP’s leadership and the amount of money going into the big wig’s pockets and other policy positions.

Has something additional happened or are things just reaching critical mass?

The NRA is run by corrupt idiots that do more harm than good for the right to bear arms. Nuke it from orbit and start over.

That’s my slightly unrealistic opinion.
The NRA is run by self-serving greedy corrupt idiots that do more harm than good for the right to bear arms while aggressively seeking your membership/donations to further enrich themselves in the name of the individual right to keep and bear arms. Fuck em until they can clean house. Otherwise, there are other organizations out there.

I’ve a simple mind yet not stupid.
fixed, sort of
My take is that the NRA is really in the business of representing gun manufacturers, not gun owners. Gun owners would be wiser to support organizations that represent their interests. Let the manufacturers fix their own crappy, corrupt lobby.
Wasn’t in the not so distant path but yeah, representing manufacturers, states to an extent and the top echelon of the org itself.

Wish I had the time and money to finance a membership showing of gargantuan proportions at the next vote. But don’t so won’t bother with the membership dues yet again. I think mentioned in an earlier post, fuck em.

My take is that the NRA is in the business of fear mongering to a population to drive up money donations which end up filling their own pockets and the pockets of their friends and family. The only reason they fear monger to gun owners is because it was a convenient niche that they found and exploited. They give out the occasional cool gift with memberships and have sponsored some good gun programs on occasion. Those programs are usually good because of the local people running them and not because of anything the upper echelons of the NRA did anything.

Too little too late, and his refusal to support Gun Owners of America, the Firearms Policy Center, or the Second Amendment Foundation really make me question his interest in actually defending our rights.

This is my impression. I stopped my membership with the NRA years ago and felt they were harming gun rights in the long run. They also got really fucking sidetracked by John Bolton and his conspiracy theories about the UN. And after debasing themselves before Donald Trump during the election they basically had nothing to say when he banned bump stocks. Trump officially restricted firearm accessories more than Obama did, even though it was with Obama that we saw tens of thousands of rounds of ammunition disappearing from stores the morning they were stocked into peoples’ garages over fears that Obama was going to restrict stuff.

What did they think was going to happen if a New Yorker became president, that he was going to be comfortable with gun rights? I am so frustrated not only with the NRA but with people who buy into their nonsense and the total illogical and inconsistent acceptance of Trump banning stuff juxtaposed with such extreme hysteria and hatred over Obama basically not banning stuff.

Anyway, I stopped supporting the NRA and instead donate money to Operation Blazing Sword: https://www.blazingsword.org/

The future of gun rights will be with groups such as the LGBT community who have a legitimate need for self-defense. This is the way also to crack the democrats using guns as a manipulative wedge issue, if one of their constituencies begins to see the logic in being armed with actual meaningful weapons.

Are you fucking high?

Obama didn’t ban shit because HE DID NOT HAVE THE ABILITY to do it. That fucking cunt WANTED to take everything.

Devil…Don’t beat around the bush so much.

Just speak plainly and say what you mean.

I like to be subtle and leave room for interpretation, like a fine work of literature.

Fifty Shades of Grey is not fine literature.

The NRA needs to clean house. They lose enough membership ($$$) and changes will be made.

Until then, they will hemorrhage both.

On the other hand, Hickok45 may end up being the most powerful son of a bitch to ever have a YouTube channel. He’s got almost as many subscribers as the NRA has members. There are probably some people in high places paying attention to what the fuck he says. We’ll see how it plays out.

The other interesting possibility is that Hickok45 was paid a shit pot of money to make that video. I know there’s a group of wealthy donors looking for new leadership within the NRA. Maybe they tossed Hickok45 a million bucks to make that video.
