Golly gee whiz we're becoming popular again

Cool.
Alright merging this into the other thread. It adds a relevance to the line of questions being used in the other thread.

post #575 is where you want to start or restart.

Yes, I am debating fixing the other thread as well, but probably not.
Gestapo bullshit. I much prefer being able to have the same argument in EVERY thread.

(also, thanks for taking the time)

I’ve said it before-

Bullshido is very much an elective Stanford Prison Experiment.

Nobody has to stay.

The role assignment is more ridiculous than not.

The guards / mods aren’t paid.

And neither are the people that donate the user generated content.

Of course, I don’t complain about Phrost taking advantage.

Largely because by all appearances, he has not figured out how, or is too damn lazy, or distracted to.

Meanwhile, I think the whole thing was / is a plot by Soros to promote chi ball arts while pretending to criticize them in a silly fashion.

How dare you assume Sub’s gender.

I wonder if phrost would tell us what bullshido’s traffic was like back in its prime.

Excluding all the Trollshido and Gong Sau build up threads off course.

I can tell you what it is, right now. 2-3 times what it was last month, which was 2-3 times what it was the previous month. Our engagement is way up. We’ve almost received more referrals in the last 1.5 weeks than we have for any full month in the 2019 calendar year. 3 weeks to go.

seems to correlate with your podcast

“We”, the site, were strongest when there were a substantial amount of investigations ongoing. There have since, probably because so many outright frauds have been outed in this digital age, been far less in the past five or more years.

Many of the targets of this site’s purpose have gone to ground. Off the horizon.

Let them lay and raise their heads at their own peril. Some since have only made it into the YMAS forum. Cause worthy of nothing beyond mirth.

Depending on the metric, not as much as you may think. The numbers I’m referring to are not directly related to the podcast, which was revived in May 2019. We’ve had a general increase in site traffic which does not align directly with the podcasts.

(edit) also, in b4 somebody says Rabbit alts. Also, in b4 Rabbit returns and posts some 3rd-party ranking showing a decline, as a counter-claim; we stopped serving ads (for now), so those 3rd party rankings become more than a bit less reliable, as a result of the procedural shift, on our end. Inverse hockey stick, not peer reviewed.

I’m not so sure. Apparently one of those guys is sticking his head back up, and no one seems to want to engage his new claims: https://www.bullshido.net/forums/showthread.php?t=96548

So, presumably the OP, omoplatypus, had enough information to get Burrell’s records back in 2010. He hasn’t been around in a while. The other guy involved in that article, and apparently a bunch of others, has been around even less. In fact, he was banned not that long after this article went up. There have been very few articles, if any, published since that rough timeframe.

I think there are probably still things to do, but the willingness of people on the site to do them seems to have reduced or disappeared.

We’re just regular Joes, not the NYT. When lawsuits start flying around, people that do this for fun and posterity get a little skittish. Just sayin’.

Thread title - lol
Thread title - lol
Making a funny Trollshido thread title is my selfish indulgence, with respect to “working,” here. I could spit them out all day long, but I unfortunately have to wait for a bunch of malcontents to fuck up a serious thread or seven.

Please, continue to do your parts to stop my dad jokes. Don’t make me Trollshido your crap.

What would you recomend?

Tort reform, to include additional protections for individual consumer advocacy.

Yeah, one thing I learned from jitschix was that back then, the site had a lawyer who would represent both the site and the article authors if someone filed suit. That is no longer the case, as far as I can tell, and I think that may have brought things to a halt. I think the last article was written by that same guy.

Man, if Wabbit hadn’t made some BS claims about Encyclopedia Dramatica history, I wouldn’t know half this stuff. In the course of proving him wrong, I learned things I’d later use.

Although Wabbit claimed to be the “spiritual successor” of the banned guy. Shouldn’t he be willing to do some investigations, kick a little ass? Maybe he should look into Burrell. After all, doesn’t Wabbit claim that one of his older relatives was some kind of a big deal in American intelligence, which is a claim Burrell is making? And didn’t he want to join the military, and Burrell is making military claims?

Really, if he’s going to boast so much, why doesn’t he do something good for the site and crack this Burrell guy’s story open?

Wabbit sent me a very long message on Linkdin awhile back alleging that the mods were using bots to boost site traffic numbers for advertisers.

I haven’t been following the Burrell saga but if you need help digging I have some people I can ask to shake the tree.
