I need a little feedback please. Diesel, you are probably the most impartial. At this point I find Rabbit so irritating, I’ve lost whatever semblance of objectivity I had in the past.
About 3-4 months ago I told Rabbit that I would ban him if he derailed 3 more threads. He derailed 2 pretty quickly. I advised him he was on his last straw at that point.
Since then, he’s derailed at least 3 other threads, but another poster has either started the derail, or contributed substantially to it.
So, the question to you all is, is he enough of a pain in the ass to ban him. If so, he’s looking at a 6 month to year ban right now.
I’m not asking for you all to sort through the threads to point out specific derails. Just let me know if you think he contributes to the forum positively, or if he’s enough trouble to get rid of him for half a year at least.
I know this is a pain in y’all’s ass, but I always seek out a quorum when I’m struggling to make a significant decision.
I’ve thought about this a few times and I think it comes down to content. He does put out a lot of content. Not really good content, but he says stuff. Every time he has been banned you could actually go days without seeing any posts. To me, that’s bad for the site. Keeping people here, discussing, even bitching at each other, is still having people here doing something.
That being said, if the point is quality content, then yeah he should go. He doesn’t contribute any quality content. The few threads where he could probably post some decent kung fu posts, he will instead post passive aggressive, condescending posts about his lineage without backing any of it up. His shit to quality ratio is probably around 50:1.
Then you have the possibility of him actually driving off content. That’s probably the best argument. If legit posters come on here to share their knowledge and then they have to tread through Rabbit shit everywhere, they may be more apt to leave and not come back. Thinking it’s a waste of time. If that’s the case, it may take a while to see that flushed out which could mean enduring some time with significantly less activity.
So, it depends on what the mission is. If it is just content, leave him. Anything other than that, ban him.
I think now a days, the Rabbit is out of the bag and no one takes him seriously any more. I generally ignore what he is saying. Similar to Bnet. You know they are both coming with some off the wall bullshit. Rabbit just disguises his bullshit better. April Rains seems to just be on a general anti Rabbit long troll. That annoys me as much as Rabbit annoys me, in case no one noticed.
April and Gonzo seem to be keeping Rabbit in check more than any ban could do. It makes more of a mess, of course, but… I agree, Rabbit’s credibility is close to nothing, and that’s his own fault.
Ok, thank you both for the input. I wholly agree that banning him causes a different set of headaches. Not the least of which is the irritating whining he directs toward Phrost, Sub and myself on FB when he is banned.

I have actually been talking Rabbit down from the proverbial ledge, in a couple of PMs this evening.
April and Gonzo are really putting the screws to him. That’s not fair to me, I want to be the one that pushes him over, I have much more time invested in the project
